The Fifth One

After I just had my first pay from Muda Papermill, the company which I was working with for my Industrial Training, I planned to bring my parents to Kim Gary at Gurney Plaza for some nice exquisite lunch. My pay was not much, but I felt like I wanted to thank my parents. I don't know why, but just felt like thanking them with my first pay. Reached there about 12.30 pm but I wasn't expecting the crowd to be hung over the place. We even have to take a number if we were to follow the original plan, but Dad was to hungry to wait. And they blame me for taking my own sweet time to dress up, therefore reaching there so late. *Ouch* Anyway, Dad's growling tummy leads us to Nando's Chicken at groundfloor. Thank God, the crowd wasn't that much and we are able to feed Dad's tummy into silence. My treat it is. I'm kind of dissappointed for not being able to treat them Kim Gary's. It has been a hot talk in most happening places about the nice food they serve. I do not know how true it is but i'm willing to find out. It's Penang, by the way, the Food-Haven! So, anybody for treats?

Mom hinted me that she wanted to buy something for me. So the next destination was to Georgetown. Mom pointed to a particular goldsmith at Campbell Street. The location of my fifth present.
Thanks Mom, Thanks Dad!
I love u guys too~!!!

StreamyX & Temper!!!

4 weeks without my stremyx and i completely forgot how to get myself online!
Seems abit dramatic? Let's just say, i just had 4 weeks without knowing that my modem was down. Waaaay down. Previously, it just gets disconneted for no reason, then i would operate my pc, and without much problem, i can get back to the net. There was once i called those StreamyX fellas and they thought me how to troubleshoot my pc by teaching me to set another manual dial-up. Done that, and the line just goes on smoothly for about 1 week, and then the disconnecting gets worst. Sometimes i can't online at all. Was fuming back then.. nearly punch my CPU.

Thinking not to bother with it much yet, it might be better when i come back from Cameron Highlands, i ignored the problem and went to have fun with my family during Raya break. The problem remains the same the week after that. Finally, called up the StreamyX fellas (yes, i know i should have done it as soon as i come back.. sigh..) and told them about my problem *again* They called my to troubleshoot using the same way. Did that but STILL no results. I complained till they ears were numb, and they just say, "Ms. Tan, calm down, we'll send u a technician if the problem still persists in another 48 working hrs." 48 WORKING HOURS!!!! I still have to wait that LOOOOOOONG. *fumes fumes*

Anyway, i bugged them again after just 36 working hrs and requested for a technician the very next day at 6pm at my house. I'm intolerable, i know.. teeheehee~!
They sent me a technician who doesn't want to work overtime and expect me to be at home before 4.30pm best. Wat ThE DumB*$$!!!! I NEED TO WORK TOO~!
So much so that i can at least pay for my petrol! Hu...huuu....huu...
I had to persuade that fella until he agrees to come at 5.30pm. It's like bargaining prices for an item, the only difference is that i'm bargaining for time. Might be because of my charms and my sweet voice over the telephone (*yeah.. yeah.. i know most of you won't agree with that statement, especially my sisters..), the person eventually agrees at 5.30pm. Fine! 5.30pm it is.

I speeded back to reach home before 5.30pm in order to get ready my pc. He came, and after minutes of checking & troubleshooting... he found that it was nothing wrong with my innocent CPU... it was the fault of my modem. My only 6-month old modem. Only 6-month old. Luckily, it was still under guarantee. Was able to change a new modem without a cost. Whoopedoo~!

So much for my flash news. Just wanted to pour the temper in this post. Till the next one!

Happy Deepavali & Selamat Hari Raya

Specially dedicated to all my Indian & Muslim friends,

Assalamualaikum & Vanakam to all...

Happy celebrating the Festival of Lights along with forgiving each other's arguements, Maaf Zahir & Batin. May both celebrations brightens up our future pathway with the indians' kerosene lamp and the malays' lampu pelita.

Idled

OMG!
I'm idling my blog again *again*

Right after my exams, i never have time to jot something down. Even if there's some time left, i'll be doing household chores from now on as i'm at home in my hometown. Pah~
Dear Mummy wants me to do all those work, sweep the floor, mop it, laundry, etc. etc.; and if I don't, I won't get to have my dinner. Does that sound like a poor pitiful Cinderella? Thanks to the 21st century, we have brooms and mops with a higher handle, vacuum cleaner, and of course the wonderful washing machine!!! -- And I'm still able to have my dinner even though I ignored my chores. Mom is not that mean. Hahaha... Just that I'll feel guilty if I don't help her around the house. Bless that I'm having my industrial training now, so I don't have to listen to her nags. I'm darn tired after work.

Lemme have this flashback thingy. What did I did for the past few weeks?

  • Week 1 : Summer fun in Langkawi with the groupie~!! =D
- I'll show the pics when I get all those photos uploaded. Takes time. Cuz I'm darn lazy.

  • Week 2: Starting of Industrial Training week 1.
- Started to appreciate my bed even more in the early morn. *YAWN~*

  • Week 3: Industrial Training week 2.
- Doing nothing special except for falling asleep earlier and earlier each night. Elaborations later in the upcoming posts. *maybe* Teeheehee~

KimFei's Visit

A few months back, KimFei told me that she would be coming to Malacca around October. Eventually, she cancelled her plan 3 weeks before her planned date, due to our exams because we can't accompany her that much as we must study for our finals. Then today, evening, this gurl called me and practically forced me to have dinner with her. And i teased,

"Oh, ok. You have your dinner in Alor Setar while I have mine in Malacca at the same time. And then, we'll converse by phone together, and we'll order the same dish on the table. That counted as eating with you, right? Hahahaha..."
"Eh, I'm already in Malacca lar."
"Don't bluff. You finished your industrial trainning already meh?"
"Yalar."
"Aiks~ True ar? You're in Malacca?!"
"Yalar."
"Why are you in Malacca out of the sudden?"
"What else do you think? Just come out for dinner later, ok?"
"I'm having Stats exam tomorrow, dear gurl."
"Aiyah, never mind. It'll only take just about 1 hour. Just a simple dinner. You have to have dinner too. Meet me in Mesra Ria at 8.30pm, ok?"

So, ok. I went with her plan to meet her in Restoran Mesra Ria at 8.00pm instead of 8.30pm. My tummy can't stand to have dinner so late. Pah~
And there we were together for dinner with KimFei, SooPing, TianHao, Pua & his new friend Sapto, and of course, Sweet. KimFei told me that she just reached Malacca today and are going back to Alor Setar tomorrow night. Just a two-day-one-night trip. But still, I'm touched by her sincerity.
KimFei purposely come down to Malacca for my 21st Bday.
Waa...waaa..waaa... *tears of joy* KimFei..... You're my dear-honeypie-munchkin-sugar-sweet-coated-darling! Thank you so much...
And thanx for bringing down my bohemian bracelet & anklet present too, dear gurl. My fourth present! =D

Legally Adult

The day before yesterday AhKor came over to my house... reasons to visit me in my new house, because he haven't stepped into my room before ever since i moved here. Well, Kor.. that's a lame reason to pass me my present.. hahahaha... though it is true.. you haven't been here ever since i moved in. He brought a CityChain paperbag.. containing a brown package which look like a book. It is a book. My first 21st Bday present, a book entited 'PS, I Love You' by Cecelia Ahern, the daughter of the Ireland's Prime Minister. Ive read the sypnosis, i think it'll be VERY NICE story, a good read. =)

Then yesterday, i knew i have to study for Stats for tomorrow, Sweet knew i have to study for Stats too. But, what's with just a "small supper", right? Eventually turned out to be a celebration for me, celebrated with a bunch of football-freaks in Subaidah-Nasi Kandar. Hahaha...
The eve of my Bday. With another new cake. Hahaha.. thanx to Sweet, I was the first to have a cake from Renaissance. Or so I've been told.

My 2nd Bday cake!

Had another gift from them. My second Bday gift, a Tomei platinum necklace with a heart locket. I don't think it's cheap, by the look of the brand. And a Bday DIY message-card. Oh yeah, AhKor called me again to wish me Happy 21st Bday. Thanx Kor...

o pretty one-- i meant the necklace~

Had a good time with them as Sweet received his present from the gang too, a lovely black laptop bag with shoulder strap attached, perfect use for his industrial training. He went to hug all of his friends... aww~
And another friend, DW, received his Bday DIY message-card too~~

We came back happily and I saw my couz left me a YM message to tell me where she hid my present.
sephirothtan: there?
sephirothtan: Oops, seem like u sleeping ho.... or not in now?
sephirothtan: Dear MZ, first of all, just wanna said, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you, i think i m not the first to say this but... haha, i don want to be the last
sephirothtan: and, I got a present for you
sephirothtan: first, sorry that I open you box beside your table, coz I need to put your present into the box
sephirothtan: so, just open the box between the color box and your table, it should be the box on your left..... and you will see a white color plastic bag under the black one... the white color thing, is your 21 birthday present from me and ting en.... happy birthday
sephirothtan: and I hope u like tat

And that's how I got my third Bday present. By treasure-hunting! Thanx Jie... and TingEn too ;-)

Between Bdays in Study Week [edited]

It's a recapturing of what happened during my study week.

  • Monday night, after library-ing in the night shift, it's one of Sweet's friend, Hoay Ling's Bday.
  • Tuesday night, after library-ing in the night shift too, it's Seng Kuang's & Bryant's Bday.
  • Wednesday night, after library-ing in the morning shift pulak~

It's.. uhm... not exactly mine and Sweet's Bday; cuz it's like 1 more week to Sweet's Bday and 2 more weeks to MY Bday... but... but... those new dear friends of mine... aww... i'm so touched whenever i think about it... they... they... they celebrated our Bdays together... see.. aren't they sweet... they put their exams the first priority rather than our real Bdays!!... *Ah-hem* sorry, throat hurts. Back to the track. Even the cakes are sweet! 2 LoVeLY heart-shaped... with different flavours, chocolate & orange (or at least tat's what i think it is.)
Anyway, Sweet said he planned mine, but never knew his friends planned his. He got a surprise; i got a DOUBLE surprise. The seafood meal in Umbai wasn't as cheap as i expected... so i wanna take the opportunity to...

Mooncake Festival 2005

There's something i forgot to mention in the previous post...

---> Mooncake Festival <---

Last year's celebration was different from this year's way of celebration.
This year is a little bit special. Not that i had in mind of Sweet, but of celebrating it in the Bukit Beruang Hill. Went up the hill about 10.30pm with 6 of us in the gang, hand in hand with a lantern each. Those steep climbs are rewarding, they provide the best view you can get in Bukit Beruang. I've already seen the evening view before, they were great; but the night view was MAGNIFICIENT!!! Compared with the stars up at the sky... ahh.. you wouldn't want to look up, you'll prefer to look down.. at the twilights of the night time scenery. Why? Because there isn't a single star~ There is a big, bright, round moon... without stars.. =D

Flawed Template

I tried to put a video link. But my blog template frame got adjusted because the video frame is eating a big portion of the side link. Tried to adjust the frame alignment by myself, but things went from bad to worse. Gave up. Planned to change the whole template. Found a nice musical one by incolite07, with the title 'A Pocket Full of Stars'. I rated it 4/5. After implementing it in my own blog, flaws were founded. The 'Post' can't link through. Tried alot of trials & errors for afew days, results the same. Fruitless. Futile. Gave up *again*.
Now, back to my previous template. Boring, but at least workable. =D

Couz's Attire

My cousin was asking me through YM to see whether will I be at home tomorrow afternoon. I asked her why the importance of it and told her that I'm having my Business Ethics (BET 2014) presentation from 8.30am until afternoon.. only God knows when. She was like, darn! I asked her why *again* She says, "Nothing lar.. just thinking of asking you to be my fashion-consultant-for-the-day before going to my colluege's wedding dinner in Kluang."

ME?? A fashion consultant??!!! Hhmm....

"Well, yeah.. you. I need one consultant to check on my attire tomorrow. I don't want to appear abit of appalling."

Err.. Hell, NO WAY! Though i'm darn low profile, i still need to keep a good impression on my fashion.

"So, what do you say? Wanna help me?"

Ok. Sure. I wanna keep my profile safe. But i'll not be free tomorrow, so I have to dig into our wardrobes today. Coming back then?

"Of course! See you in a sec!"

So you see, I have a good fashion sense in the eyes of my cousin. Might be not to my friends, which they might consider me as only a so-so, but to my cousin, I AM!!! So darn happy about it. I danced in my room for a few minutes.. then back to my pc. Oh, ok, u've got me. I'm just exagerating. But I did felt happy.
When i used to stay in EP, on every special occasion that my housemates will be attending, they will for sure ask for my assistance in choosing the right attire. I'm not bragging about my fashion sense or whatsoever, but I do appreciate them for giving me the chance to feel what it's like to be either Donatella Versace or Zang Toi.

Although my attire to campus was more to a jeans and a good looking top, some other times even just a baby-t, i've always admired those girls who have the courage to wear minis to campus. Not that i'm jealous of their skinny stork-like legs, (hey! I DO have nice legs okaay, shape-able ones like the Papermate-liquidpaper sort.. nice long-ovel thighs and cylindered shins...), but i admired their bravery to break the rules of wearing a skirt 6 inches above the knee.
And also admired those who have the nerve to wear a 3/4 length leotards with flair skirts and baggy t-shirt.. i'm not going to elaborate more, just use your own imagination people. It's more to the Japanese Street-fashion style. OMG!!! Is the Harajuku-style going to invade the MMU too??!
OOooo.. never mind that.

Finally, my couz agreed to settle on her own pastel-green 3/4 sleeved shirt with wide scoop, my knee-length black skirt, a pair of black heels, a black handbag, a big single 5-petal-crystal-flowered necklace, and a pair of matching earrings. I suggested abit of some light nude make up with light pink blusher and some light sheer pink lipgloss. Eyeshadows will be on light-earth-brown tones.

I set my own Rule of Thumb when i'm on my fashionista-mood:
For every clothes, there will be a match. When it does not fit you, it might be only two considerations: the colours, or the cuttings. Never ever blame the fashion. Make your OWN fashion!

International Business Night with Dina

Again, i'm gonna make my sisters so jealous~!!!
Muahahaha... what a bad sis am i... but never mind.. as long as i treat them good... they'll know.. Ah Jiun & Ah Wei.. u borrowed my shirt har... better jaga it properly, if not, I won't burn movies for you guys~! Muahahaha.... Gosh, I'm so darn "good"!

Anyway, back to the title above, I went to the International Business Night 4 days ago (28/8/05) to support of my ex-housemate, one of my close friends in MMU too.. Christina, are you touched?? sob...sob... I can supply tissues for you.. teeheehee~! Darn, I dunno why I feel so naughty.

IB Night was above my expectations. It was good. Not bad for having it the first time. Taken away those "troubles" arised from a source inside, it should be applaused.

As mentioned, I'm not going to elaborate on how the night goes, but just wanna make my sisters jealous. I HAD A PIC WITH DINA, 1ST RUNNER UP FOR THE MALAYSIAN IDOL~!!!

Hari Kemerdekaan ke-48

Tingkatkan usaha anda lagi! Muahahaha... ;-)

3 Fine Songs with YiDa

One fine day, one of my housemate pop into my room and asked me to listen to a song he shared from his pc.
One fine month... and a few more days later, my that particular housemate asked whether do we (me and sweet, of course, muahahaha...) wants to go to the singer's mini concert. "How much?" I asked. "Aiyah, just 1 dollar," he replied. "ok," I said.

So, on that fine Sunday of the planned concert day, we went to one fine room called CLCR 0002 (A2).
Time's up, so one fine man took hold of the mic and controlled the members on the floor who was getting quite fine anxious; and introduced two fine singers to shut us up, by saying their have one fine same sifu as YiDa.

And also, one fine person with the name Neoh, just walked in 'pompously' from the front stage up to the audience area; heads high up, hands on camera. Just like one fine professional photographer.
Three fine person waved up to him and called him over.
Then, one fine man, with fine hairy hair that needs to be sent to one fine barber, came up to the fine stage, and presented 3 fine songs, while throwing about 10 fine posters.
This fine man is a fine singer called YiDa.

We can't get any fine pictures of him because we aren't suppose to use flash, which makes me so finely unsatisfied. It's compareable when the fine DannyOne came to our fine campus one fine year for his fine performance. I still kept that fine picture. In any fine way, I don't have any fine pictures with YiDa, fine sigh...

Damien, the Trickster

Flashback from last week:

  • 1 August 2005

After a tiring 2 days in the south of Johore, up north i went back to Penang with KhaySoon and his friend, Timothy. KhaySoon's the driver; Timothy's the co-driver; well, me, I'm the sleeper! Wahahaha... Anyway, we started our journey back to Penang at around 8.15am and reach Juru about 2.00pm. It's so coincident that the 3 of us do not have the key to our houses. What a bummer~! KhaySoon left his keys in Malacca, Tim's keys was with his neighbour, mine was at home. We're all locked out. Since it was this way, we had our lunch in Secret Recipe in Autocity, while waiting for my dad to pass me my house keys.

Reached home around 3.00pm and i was about to take a nap from a tiring journey and after a comfortable shower. My head was on my comfortable pillow and i'm just a tiny-miny-moe from approaching the R.E.M. for sweet dreams. THAT's when my phone rang.

ME : (blurringly) heelloooo.....
CALLER : Is this Ms. Tan?
ME : Yess... This is me.
CALLER : Ms. Tan, I'm calling from Jobstreet and I've got a job for you. Would you like to come to our company for an interview somewhere around this week?
ME : *rub my eyes a little. sat up on my bed* Huh? What? A job?!
CALLER : Yes. A job that you've requested from Jobstreet which suits your qualification.
ME : *I suddenly thought of my industrial training applications that my faculty requires me to find* Okok… But can I know the name of the company?
CALLER : Oh, I’m sorry Miss. We can’t reveal the company’s name yet.
ME : Then you can at least tell me what the company deals with. What type of job that you are offering? What is the job description?
CALLER : It deals a lot with properties.
ME : I see. I’m in such a blur case right now, would you mind giving me your company’s contact number? I will call back later to make an appointment with your company. *I’m so darn ‘tiau geh’ (tarik harga in malay.)
CALLER : Sure. No problem. 5******
ME : Hold on, let me get a piece of paper...*stood up and fiddled on my table to find a blank spot on a paper... scribble scribble... hmm… this number looks familiar* And who should I refer to when I called this number?
CALLER : Oh, you can look for Damie-
ME : DAMIEN LEONG~!!! How dare you trick me??!!!
DAMIEN : Hahahahahahaha….Hahhahaha…
ME : Oooo.. Now u can laugh syok syok adee lar… How dare you…you…
DAMIEN : Hahahaha…Hahahahahahaha….
ME : Damien, you... trickster.. you... you... %£*&$!~#!£$@¬#!!!

Damien laughed on the phone for quite some time before he gave his breath up for some serious talk. Pah~!
It turns out that this fella was in Belleview BM office with Elaine, and coincidently Julie was on leave. Both of them were quite bored and the trick was planned. And I was too sleepy to realise it in the first place. Drats~ Anyway, I brush myself up, got ready and drove to Belleview to visit them.. and to reduce their boredom.

P/S: Damien, thanks for the elephant chopstick from Bangkok. By the way, please please don't pinch your nose when talking on the phone. You really sound like a gurl~ Muahahaha... *revenge accomplished* =)

Pulau Kukup... NOT an island; but yet a 'pulau'

Flashback from last week:

  • 30th July 2005

A bunch of us went to Pulau Kukup, Pontian, Johor, for a midterm break trip. The accomodation was quite cheap, considering a Rm70 for a place to stay for one night including teatime, dinner, breakfast, lunch, and of course, the splendid view. =) The 18 of us started our journey at around 8.30am in the morning sardined in 4 cars and reached there about 12.30pm. My first impression on the place was, 'Damn, this place is so village-y. It's so darn quiet. I bet the village's gonna be dead when the clock struck 10 at night. They don't even have cars moving around the little village, the only vehicle for them is just the good ol' bicycle, and if you're rich enough, you can get yourself a motorcycle! (well, might be they parked outside their village, looking at the conditions of their houses).' Oh.. oh.. did i describe about their houses? It a 4-bricked wall, built on a few sticks of concretes for support, with a wooden floor. To make it look glamourer, they have a private mini-jetty! How cute~ But a word of caution, never ever look down at the bottom of the concrete sticks! You'll go 'yerr..', 'yucks!', and 'EEEEUUUGGHHHHWWW~~~~!'. It's an "ABC" down there, especially when low-tide strikes. Imagine, dirty-muddy-greyish-brownish sea mud + disposed-maggoted-rubbish-covered-in-seaweed + cracked-plastics (i hope it's bio-degrable) + mudfishes-with-flippers-and-cutie-crabbie-covered-in-shit + homosapiens'-shit-plus-the-loo = create a word for it, wise guy. *eyes rolling*

Frankly, i got bored pretty fast. The rest had their hands on the mahjong table and the karaoke set, so i stuck myself with Josh, Neoh, & Neoh's housemate, SengKuang, i think i got his name right. (Kor, correct me if i'm wrong).I'm not a gambler (i don't gamble at all), nor a singer. I'm only a professional bathroom singer, excuse me. *blink blink* Anyway, we found ourselves at the mini-jetty and enjoyed the cool breezed washing over my face. It was cool! No, really, cool as in cold-cool. As time passes by, as my tummy is making some eccentric noises that i hope sweet doesn't notice, i was "tired." and the 4 of us just went into the room, planning to take a nap. Of course, plan don't just goes well as planned. Dear 'friends' walked with elephant legs around the house-on-sea-water-separated-with-a-wooden-planks, and they too, sung a pitched-cracked karaoke with maximum bass! Darn, darn, darn!!! Poor AhKor couldn't stand them and grab a blanket, a pillow, and his 'Da vinci Code', out to the jetty. I think he did get some peace over there. Or at least, more peaceful than us. We couldn't stand them too. SengKuang went to join Neoh, while me and sweet went out of the house, seeking for a more peaceful place to snap around.

Teatime was so-so. I mean, i couldn't expect much from my 70 bucks, rite, but dinner sucks~!!! I really can CURSE those aunties & uncles staying next door for STEALING our food!!! I repeat, THEY STEAL our FOOD!! After dinner, since nobody's hanging around the karaoke set, i was glad. Stood there, saw a piece of VCD titled 'House of Wax', and i was like, cool! At last, there's some movie that i haven't watch before which is so not outdated yet. I grab it like a piece of gold, put it on the vcd player. This is so my time! Muahahaha... Not forgetting my sweet, i got hold of him and made him sit in front of the movie with me. Muahahahaha... gosh, i'm soooo wicked *winkzzz*

  • 31st July 2005

My room's door exploded with a bang at 5.30am DAWN!! Okie, i'm just kidding, i shouldn't exagerated it with a 'bang'. But it's still the same, 5.30am man! I still need my beauty sleep! They said to wake up early to see the sunrise, but heck, there is NO SUNRISE AT DAWN! I slept back and told AhKor to wake me up again half an hour later. At 6.30am, me & sweet went to the temple, the highest building in the village, to meet Neoh and SengKuang & to get the best view of the sunrise. The view was... disappointing~ After our breakfast, i continued my beauty sleep. Ahhh... heaven... Hours later, we packed and left the village by noon, went to the reserve mangrove forest and the 'kelong' by boat. The reserve forest was very informative, great for secondary school students studying their Form 2 science, too bad i'm waaaay out of Form 2, muahahaha~! The 'kelong' was cute. Yeah, cute. 'Kelong' is actually a Malay word with no English equivalent; “remote fishing outpost” is the closest description. Resembling a kampung house on stilts, the wooden structure houses at its heart nets that are lowered to the seabed and raised several times a night and in the early morning; at night, a lamp is hung out with the nets to attract sea life. The man in the 'kelong' showed us those fishies, including a blowfish, a baby shark (no kidding), king crab, cutie turtle, etc. Finally, left Pulau Kukup in the evening after buying some final 'munchies'/souvenirs.

Interviewing King's Hotel

OK, now i'm gonna write something which happened about 2 weeks ago.
About King's Hotel~

Nahh.. nothing in particular happened in King's Hotel. It's just our Organizational Behaviour assignment which requires us (me & my groupmates) to interview their top management on the topic of Motivation, from Chapter 7 ;-)

We went there, by 2 cars at 11.45am, driven byMaryam and LeeHin, called upon one of the managers, and waited for a few minutes in Queen's cafe, the hotel's subsidiary cafe at the side. Felix came in later than expected as his class only finished at 12pm. Then Mr. Thum Onn Kee, the hotel's Operation Manager agreed to be interviewed by us, a bunch of crazy undergraduates... =P

The interview goes on smoother than planned. Mr. Thum and his assistant were very helpful as they gave a load full of information and also a part of his experience. As we had had more than enough information, i think our presentation today went very well. Or at least, i can say it is better than the 2 groups who had presented the earlier weeks before. Gosh, I'm sooo proud of ourselves... Anywayz, thanx to my groupmates too~ =) Hehehe...

The Bukit Beruang Hill Climb

Yesterday, I went hiking up the steep Bukit Beruang hill with Josh, Yap, YL, DW, & Alex. First time ever though i'm already living in this area to nearly 4 years. Shame on u Mint Mint, you've lived here for nearly four years and u haven't even been there~
What to do? I have a lazy bum. I only concentrate on badminton, though i'm a lousy player.

The hill was steep. I wondered how does some people have the stamina to go all the way up. I was already panting my breath out on the first quarter of the hill. I managed to keep my strength until half the hill where they provide another so-called steep trail at the side. Luckily, sweet was there to pull me up. Wahahaha...

One thing i wanted to stress it here was... the MAGNIFICIENT VIEW WAS DARN SUPERB~!!!
first time i've seen the whole of Malacca, up till the shore, up till the sea, into the horizon. I was speechless. Sweet told me that it'll be even more beautiful during sunset. But we were already too late to watch it as it was already about 7pm at that time, waaay past sunset time.

Anyway, those friends there were very entertaining. Yap was doing his kungfu; Alex was playing with his handphone trying to record my conversation with sweet; DW & YL were... i dunno, i can't remember them doing anything except shouting at the dumb hill. Were they dumb or the hill was dumb? Hahaha.. Just kidding guys... (apologize first, just in case they've read this and swish-swashing their knives at me).

On the way down, Yap let his ringtone rang while he danced down the hill. Yess... he DANCED DOWN THE HILL ..... like a monkey~! With arms wriggling to the left, then to the right; turn a little; shakes shakes his butt a while; wriggle to the left; wriggle to the right; etc.. Wahahahahahaha... hahahha... Gosh, i had to hug my tummy while looking at his funny variaties of dance-nology. Alex even managed to capture that 'video' through his Nokia 3-G handphone as a proof!!!

Going down was quicker than going up. Blame it on the gravity.
Aih...

Sweet

This particular day, just one day after my sweet memories, i was woken up by the strange banging sound outside my room. One-eyed open, and i noticed it was my sweet. Outside. Sweeping. Happily. Banging the broom on the wall, accidentally, while wanting to sweep the corner of the wall. Took a look at my handphone. It was already 10am??!! I thought I only slept for less than 3 hours, though i actually slept at 3am!

Blurringly, i tried to open the other eye, though both of my eyes are stubbornly attached to the bottom of my eyelids. Got up from my bed and zig-zag-ly managed to walk to the window. Put my palm on the glass and pushed it aside, windows opened.
~My sweet, wide-eyed, grinningly, turned to me, wished me good morning.
~Me, still struggling with my heavy eye-lids, grumpily, mumbled him a morning.
~My sweet, wide-eyed, grinningly, told me to go back to sleep since i slept late.
~Me, still struggling with my heavy-eyelids, oh plus the brightness of the sun, grumpily, asked wat was he actually doing so early in the morning.
~My sweet, wide-eyed, grinningly, simply, told me that he was sweeping.
~Me, still still struggling with my heavy-eyelids, just nodded. 'Frrmph' a little. And asked again, the truth.
~My sweet, wide-eyed, grinningly, happily, said can't sleep much cuz of happiness surrounds him.
~Me, struggling with my heavy-eyelids, one eye managed to open a little, stares quizically, light scraps though my one eye, i squinted.
~My sweet, wide-eyed, grinningly, happily, laughingly, shoo-ed me back to sleep.
~Me, struggling with my heavy-eyelids, denies my still on-going sleepiness.
~My sweet, wide-eyed, grinningly, happily, knowingly, understandably, mysteriously, shoo-ed me back to sleep again, and told me to get a better rest as we'll be going out somewhere.
~Me, struggling with my heavy-eyelids, answered grogily still denying my sleepiness and told my sweet to continue whatever he was doing.
~My sweet, wide-eyed, grinningly, happily, knowingly, insistingly, shoo-ed me back to sleep again.
~Me, struggling with my heavy-eyelids, shakes my head, closed my window, and walked zig-zag-ly back to my bed, my heaven.

Woke up again one hour later.. but this time is by the alarm from my handphone. After lunch, my sweet took me to the place he myseriously hinted this morning. It turned out to be a temple. We paid a visit to 2 temples. Together with two of sweet's friends.
Since coincidentally sweet has to fetch his aunt home as well, the four of us followed sweet to his house & his mom's orchid farm. Details are not going to be elaborated as it's P & C. Muahahaha...

Anyway, i suddenly thought of this phrase...
"When a person's too happy, they can't seem to think of others.. they only think of the other. "
I'm getting more and more philosophical as i find myself out. Grarrgh~***

Durian Festival

Durian Festival?? Huh? Durian Festival?? Here?? Dig ur ears properly, i DID mentioned DURIAN FESTIVAL!!

I haven't heard of this so-called durian festival before. My housemate, Josh, asked me whether do i want to join his friends for this "celebration" and i was like, huh? Durian Festival? okay... interesting... i'll give it a try... hmm... very interesting... *thumb & pinkie finger stroking chin* We went to his friend's house to gather there for the feast. Waiting... Impatiently... and VOILA~!!!

They took out about 30-40 durians of all kinds~! And i mean, all kinds.. No Kidding~
There were around 10-15 of us, so all of us ate about 3-4 durians per person. That broke my record! I never had so much durians stuffed in my tummy before... Usually 1 1/2 durians and i'm off with a full tummy.

Oh ya.. i've got my palm pricked afew while cleaning up. It's only a mild prick. It'll heal in 2 days time. =)

Neoh-Ah-Kor's Surprise~*~

Who lurves surprises? I bet everybody does. =) Especially my godbrother-Neoh.
The certain look when his jaw drops and starts to cough non-stop for a whole 1 minute when he sees me behind my housemate makes me wanna roll on the floor and laugh all the way into the cinema~! Muahahaha...

Just wanna share another story that i forgot to post it up y'day.
Last Wednesday, i went with my new housemate to watch Ms. & Mrs. Smith in Mahkota Parade. Presumely, my roomate (my cousin) were to follow us, but she changed her mind later on. And so, we went with his gang of coursemates. One of his coursemate is *drum roll...* my AhKor-Neoh!

Ok, back to the original story. AhKor knew that i had moved out of Emerald Park but he doesn't know who my new housemates are. I never wanted to tell him in the first place because i planned to surprise him. I even got hold of my new housemate and told him about the surprise plan. Luckily he agreed to go along with me. =)
And so, we went with a surprise on hand; and his coursemates went with suspense in mind (including AhKor). They've planned to meet at the main enterance of Mahkota Parade, and so, i walk in the shadows of my housemate & his first-half gang of friends since they're all tall enough to hide me behind them =D. I took a step out when nearing the second-half of the gang, and AhKor started to gawked & coughed non-stop! After all the introduction with the gang there, AhKor still haven't stop coughing~ aih... pity u Kor... but farnee jugak~ Hahahaha....

Aside from my story, Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt's 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' is not bad either.. I would recommend this movie to any of my friends with a rating of grade A. It was a romantically-actionised-comedy film.

Nahh.. i can't elaborate much on the movie as my main purpose of this post is to show how funny my gawking-ahkor looked like when he was surprised~
For his version of the story, please click here.

Heheheh.... Hahaha... Darn, i still can't stop laughing... Muahahhaa...... Ouch~!
*tummy achie from laughing too much*

First Week of the First Semester =)

The first day to arrive in Malacca was hectic. Time was so limited as my parents still haven't book their hotel rooms. We planned to stop by at 'Kay Elle' to visit my sisters, but theor classes is until 3pm. But we could not stop at 'Kay Elle' after 2pm, because we're afraid that we might not have enough time to reach Malacca by 4pm. Once we're reached Malacca, our first stop is at my new house. By 7.30pm, my parents are at least satisfied with the condition of the room before leaving to their hotel. I, ofcourse, followed them. Who doesn't want to sleep in the hotel where there's comfort in the first place. =p And at least i get to watch the Malaysian Idol from the hotel TV. The very next day, Dad brought me back to Bukit Beruang and dumped me there. Boohoohoo.... ='(

The first week in campus was very free. In fact, darn free. I can even finish a 20-episodes TVB series in just 3 days ( i did went for classes, k..) My biological clock was normal; started to feel sleepy as soon as the clock struck 12am. But this will change in the flow of 2 weeks time. Just give me a few more weeks & i'll be turning back into an owl; sleep during the day, active during the night.
Then there was one fine day, Ms. Goh MSN-ed me a bad news. She told me that Goh is going to resign from Belleview~!!! His reasons were (1) he got a better job offer from DNP (Belleview's competitor), which gives him 20% more than his current salary; (2) he can't stand Julie (that's wat me & Ms.Goh suspected). Why oh why Goh.... Sigh...

My Last Day at Belleview BM

*sob sob* *tissue please*
After days of banging the photostate machine, jamming the laserprinters, misprinting the receipts, taking up fax messages, filing behind the cabinets, making newspaper cuttings, tearing up papers, stamping the envelopes, making memos, drafting letters, stamping incoming letters/bills, joking with dear collueges, making new friends with lawyers/bank marketers, occasional free lunches with boss, etc. Gosh, to much to mention!

I begun to see, what a wonderful experience i have gathered while i was working. For example, i do not know how to operate the photostate machine & fax before this, and now.. i'm an expert! Woohoo! Oh yeah, and the typewriters, i only know how to use the old type... but the new type i dun have any clues at all... then from the experience from working, i would say, i think i can pass. Hehehe... And operating the photostate machine, I am EXPERT~!!!

Anyway, back to the sad topic here, *sob sob* I'm having my officially last day at Belleview Group. Even managed to get stingy-snake-Goh to treat my last meal with my collueges. Since Goh is a vegetarian, our lunch choice is very very limited. At the end, we settled at Pizza Hut, Plaza Mertajam, and ordered 2 sets of pizza combo with a vegetarian flavour and a Meatball flavour (i think that's wat it's called). The very last time i've been to Plaza Mertajam was during my secondary days where i have to take the public bus home after my 'SPM kelas tambahan' from the bus station located next to it. Goh grumpily paid about RM70 for the whole satisfying meal (for us, it's satisfying; or else, Goh wouldn't be grumbling =p ) Everybody was there except for Damien. He's suppose to come to my farewell, but darn Mr.Ng gave him too much work until he can't make it to BM. Bum Bum Mr. Ng~!

Lastly, may i announce that, *tsk... sob..sob...*

DEAR COLLUEGES... Julie, Goh, Ms. Goh, Damien, Mr. Ng, Ms. Ng, Ah Keat, Ah Khim, TingTing, PeiSan, the pak cik Guard, and the cleaner Auntie...

I WILL & ALWIZ WILL REMEMBER U GUYS~~
THANX FOR THE KNOWLEDGE U GUYS GAVE ME,
THANX FOR THE EXPERIENCE U GUYS GAVE ME,
THANX FOR THE ADVICE U GUYS GAVE ME,
MUUUUUUUUAXX~!
P/S: Due to some request, i am not able to post photos of my collueges. Or else, Damien will cut my head off & chop me into pieces... Skaaareeee...... wwwooooOOoooOOoooooo..... *shivers*

Japan GT & Miss Autocity (finalists)

Ah Kor came down to Juru in conjunction of the Japan GT Promotional event in Autocity. It's like, finally. Hahahahahahaha... Ok, shut up. I'm getting more freako already~ Sigh...

It was a horrible traffic jam i've bumped into before I managed to reach Autocity. Was stuck there for like about 30 minutes, many thanks to the event. I usually can take about 10-15 minutes ONLY to reach Autocity, taking the kampung road; but this time, a WHOLE of 30 minutes~!!! Oh yea, I've been cursing and cursing all those cars along the way while i speeded past them. Not to mention at that moment, my "speeding' was only 40kmph at most. Now imagine 'speeding' again. Really, it made me terribly late. Took off at 5.45pm; hoping to reach at 6pm; ended up there at 6.25pm. Damn those traffics. Later AhKor messaged me that the show was cancelled, but will resume with their night schedule which is the selection of the Miss Autocity finalists. What a bummer~! So, AhKor told me that he & Irene will be waiting for me in front of McD. So, all i gotta do is just drive up to McD and pick them up.

In the car, we were planning either to have our dinner or a "inspection" at my new house first (just kidding), then only come back to Autocity. But as i was slowly driving round toward the nasi kandar area, a sudden sound of music started booming. We were so excited thinking one of the event had actually started as AhKor went straight out of my car and head towards the booming music. It actually turn out to be a false alarm. Damn *again*. Plan made. My house first, then dinner in Sri Rambai, my old place, really home sweet home, err.. except that i've moved to Juru, so it's a different story.

Back in Autocity around 8.30pm. I managed to get a parking space pretty quick. Thanx to my lucky-carpark-star. AhKor dissappeared among the crowds in a now-you-see-now-you-don't situation, leaving Irene and me. The Miss Autocity finalists event was going on at that moment. So it makes sense that everybody was hovering over the stage to get a good look at those pretty ladies. Just an additional information, most of them are guys, young guys. It figures too though. Many thanks to Irene who accompanied me around the 'car-acting' session; picture taking session; and the eerie & disgusting photographs with the squishy brains' serebrum, sereblum, medula oblongata sprouting out of the skull like growing yellowish jellies when the bus hit the head, with the head-without-body in a pool of blood session, etc. Hey, i still remember my biology on brain anotomy after 4 long years. It's a good news for my dad. Yippe yay *eyes rolled* Anyway, thank goodness, nobody vomitted after seeing those photos. If not, I would be more afraid of people's blench rather than those disgusting bloody photos from the police department. Some of the photos really look like some scenes from Shutter, a Thai ghost movie. Pity the poor Citroen/Picasso guy, answered most of the questions we asked, but still, we're not even planning to buy it. I even took some pics on a hot yellow lotus sports car. Honestly, I find that it was the coolest & most unique car over there.

*Ok, it was actually me*

Wanna see pictures of the Miss Autocity's finalists?? Sorry, my camera is not that good. Since AhKor was near the stage with his new toy, he did took some great pics.

At 10pm, the event was over. Stayed a little later at Secret Recipe, bending down towards the Chocalate marshmellow, battling with myself whether or not indulge my stomach with cheese, fat, and sugar. 5 minutes later, I turn around and head towards the exit door.
Empty handed.

O.T.

I did my first overtime tonight. Just now. Reached the office at 8.55am this morning, and went back at 9.45pm. It's been more than 12 hours in that office. Then, i had to fetch Ms. Goh, my colluege, back first as she is carless-for-the-day because her mom is using her car.

Nobody told the both of us that we're going to have to stay for an overtime. Nobody. Not even my boss. Not even Goh. And at the speak of that devil, lazy Goh ducked out at 6.30pm~!!! And leaving only 3 girls to do everything! Luckily, Ms. Ng came over to help us out.
Thank you, Ms. Ng. You're da bezz!!!

Good news is, the both of us get to get back at 9.45pm, compared to Julie & Ms. Ng, who went back at 11.30pm. Goh is going to kena teruk.
Bad news, I WAS NOT & WILL NOT BE PAID FOR MY OVERTIME!!!

Papercut

I had papercuts on my fingers.
I had papercuts on my bare palm.
*pouting lips*

I was making an origami airplane and tried to fly it accross the office, but my boss caught me and sent me to detention. But i managed it snuck out of the room and escape. I decided to take the lift as it was less tiring.

*ok, it was a lie, but at least u guys did rolled your eyes on it*

I was really folding an origamied invitation letter pretty quick and maybe that's when the paper cut my palm. I didn't care, I went on folding. And then, i got my fingers cut. *eyes wide out in horror* As in papercut. *relieved?*

Since Goh made me do his work last Friday, it's a good time for revenge. Ngek ngek ngek... *cackles evilly like a witch* The way i pulled him into the room is exactly like pulling a stubborn bull into the workload that it doesn't like; the only difference was, i pulled him using words. How creative i was. *eyes rolled*again* Imagine, you've managed to pull a stubborn bull, full of expection, and yet, what it gives you is only half a grain of rice, per day. Put Goh in the bull's shoes. He only helps me to stick the stamps on the envelopes. Well, at least it's better than nothing. I mean, it's only 347 envelopes that he has to finish from 3.15pm till 5.00pm, excluding the foldings, the stamping, and the paging-ins' invitation letters into the envelope given. He was too slow, so, i ended up finishing his part when I was done for myself.

That's how i've got papercuts on my palm & fingers. Mild papercuts.

Another wrap-ups

Brought my sisters to Kay-Elle last Monday. Does it look abit upstandard-ish? I mean, the word 'Kay-Elle' instead of 2 plain old boring alphabets of 'K' & 'L'. 'Kay' sounds more street-casual; whereas 'Elle' sounds like, well, 'elle' (as in the brand 'Elle'. Sporty Elle). And when you combine it both, then, it sounds more... more... Gosh, i'm crapping. And it's the usual useless craps.
A-nih-way, my sisters will be studying in TARCKL, taking e-commerce. End of story. End of my craps. Except that, that was a statement, not crap. Only the first and last line is a statement. All are craps. This is not the last line i meant. I mean the previous. Ah-hem. Jeezs, when will i ever learn? Came back from the 'trip' on Tuesday.

Wednesday was boring. So is Friday. Especially on Friday. Because on Friday, I have to finish Goh's unfinished pile of work & he even dare to go on leave. Darn. I'm gonna get him back next Monday. Oh yeah, he's gonna get it for sure.

Thurday's, on the other hand, nice. Very nice. How would you describe your day, if your bigger boss suddenly treat you and all your collueges in a nice fancy vegetarian restaurant? I'm not complaining on the food nor the environment. It was air-conditioned. Very comfortable. That is why, Thursday is nice. On top of that, Mr. Ng is nice. Because he is the one who treated us. Muahahahaha..... Free lunch again~! =D I think I should call him Mr. Nice-Ng.
Remindation: Mr. Sunny Ho, my biggest boss, still haven't treated me lunch yet. Such a stingy fella for being the biggest boss. I'm gonna sulk whenever he's around. Just that, I can't really do it, because he's seldom in the BM office. Sigh....

Saturday was ..... I'll leave it to your own opinion(s). Ah Sing, my coursemate from MMU, came down all the way from Seremban. Because he's a guy, I couldn't take him shopping. And because he's a guy, AhKor suggested to go to Bukit Genting. Because his housemate's a guy, they still couldn't get theirselves geographied with the roads(shameful.) Because he's a guy, he's staying in his housemate's house in Sungai Petani, Kedah. And because he's a guy, he still have to go back early. Because they're guys, i still don't like guys being too ego about how the roads should go, especially when i've been in that area alot more times than they have. In short, I don't like guys who thought they know-it-all when they actually DON'T-know-it-all. I don't blame it on AhSing, cuz he's not the one who's driving.

Sunday was SUPERB~! KimFei, also from MMU, came down from Alor Setar, Kedah, to look at her future workplace. She'll be having her training for her FYP here in BM. Took her around Bandar Perda to look for her going-to-be office. Bandar Perda was a big new township in BM which they're separated into Utara (North), Selatan (South), Timur (East), and Barat (West). Luckily it was an easy find since it was situated in Lorong Bandar Perda Selatan Satu. I'm more familiar with the southern part of Bandar Perda. Next, we went over to Prangin Mall. I was only thinking of window shopping, but in the end, i bought a pair of sunnies & 2 pairs of earrings. Why do i always do that?! My hand itches whenever i see earrings on display. OMG! I'm completely an earring-freako~!!! I already have a jewellery box full of earrings! You really should have see it. It is already full! KimFei & my housemates have seen it. They've even tried to get me away from any earrings on display. But this time, i really couldn't help myself. The earrings was too pretty & cute & unique. I was tempted. The earrings got me! I couldn't pull myself away! And not much of a guess, I've bought it. By the way, guess what? The earrings are made of feathers. Yes, feathers~! Not the feathers plucked from your feather-duster, kay... I'm not that cheapo. The colours were very unique. I'll take a pixie of it when i'm free.
On the same venue, I've met Aline, AhXia, (both Penangites) and AhJoe (came down from Sg Petani), all M'cca MMU-ian.
I repeat, SUPERB SUNDAY~!!!

2 Birthdays in 1 Weekend

I've been invited to two 21st Birthday parties the last weekend. The first belongs to Sherbeth, and latter belongs to SweeIm. Both of them are my CBM secondary schoolmates.

I was late for Sherbeth's party (Saturday), as in very very late. By the time i was there, it was already about 9.15 pm. I got stucked in a hair saloon from 2.30pm until 8.45pm where i was getting my hair done. My butt were numb from the sitting. Had a haircut. Changed my hairstyle. You won't notice the changes unless u look at the back of my head carefully. I have to highlight it to make the upper parting to be obvious. but i dun think i'm gonna do that. Depends on my mood. Anyway, back to the point, SherBeth's party was like a gathering for CBM 2001/02 and F6 of HSBM 2002/03. On the CBM-ers list are AiLyn, SzuChyi, Viviene, YiLing, HooiSan, Shuping, HooiSing, JuSuan, Corina, and ChewHui. I'm not so sure about HSBM-ers. There might be more CBM-ers, but as far as i know, those who i've listed is those who i saw that night. Cheers to you guys, and keep in touch. CBM ROcKz~!!!
This time, to SweeIm's party (Sunday), i started my journey early, but still, i got stuck in the Wesak Day procession as i was like a teeny-weeny few fraction of seconds late to pass the traffic lights upon reaching SweeIm's house. As a result, i was stuck there for about 15 minutes long. I was so darn near to SweeIm's house that i can even reach her house less than 15 minute by foot. But then again, I couldn't just leave my car in the middle of the street, could I? I can get 'saman' for that. SweeIm's party, on the other hand, was a small gathering for us, the closer friends. Reached there and the first person i saw was Kennedy, a long lost HSBM senior-fren, then it was my secondary gang of friends, YitShee, Corina, CheaYing, WayNah, Yeap, Jonathan, SengWooi, and ChoonNai. Additionally, Keneddy brought 3 other friends of his, which he don't even bother to introduce to us. By the way, Keneddy still haven't change. He's still the funny chap who has all the attention when he speaks. And he has more attention when i shoot at him when his words contradicts mine. In the hokkien dialect, it is better known as 'zhat'. Muahahahaha....
Back to the main topic, these are the two happy friends of mine who have just reach adulthood legally
.
Dear SherBeth & SweeIm,
~*~Happy 21st BuRtday~*~
***enjoy life to the fullest; you won't know how it's like until you've tried it***
MUAX!
from your krazy IcyMint fren...

Wrap-Ups for the past 2 weeks

I met my company's solicitor, Ms. Ng, a very nice young lady. Why did i say nice? Cuz she treats me lunch on my second day. Muahahaha... I went show-house in a new housing scheme with her, Julie, & Goh in Tmn Perwira Indah, in Permatang Tinggi, developed by Aroma Developers. The house is quite nice. Spacious. 2 1/2 storey terrace. Large balcony. Good handwork. Tidy.

After 2 more days, I met my bigger boss, Mr. Ng (not related to Ms. Ng). He said he just wanted to drop by in the BM office just to check on the updates. Now, who believes? Anyway, he too, is nice. Because he treats me lunch. Muahahaha... Julie told him about the project by Aroma Developers and he took us to around that place again to have a look. 'A serious competitor' he says, 'we have to work fast'.

Finally, on my second week, i had someone to gossip to in the office. Hehehe... Had a new colluege coming in. Julie introduced her to me as Ms. Goh (not related to Goh, by any means), a fresh-grad from USM. She'll be one of our permanent staff for Belleview.

After a couple of days, Julie starts to tensed up. Then, she revealed that the big big BIG boss is coming over to over branch to check up on us. She wants us all in the office to clear up our workstations, wear full formal wear, and it's my first time to see her wearing pantyhose, lipstick & a lil' bit of makeup, which she seldom puts on. Some of my collueges, Ms. Cheng, Damien Leong, and even Mr. Ng from the Penang island branch had arrived earlier to make an early preparations as well as Ms. Ng too, just in case. Mr. Sunny Ho finally came over around lunchtime. And by that time, most of us were already very hungry but we must not go out for lunch yet. Goh said that we must wait until he's either (a) gone; or (b) opens up his mouth to give us permission for lunch. When it was 1.45pm, Julie finally came out of the meeting room to ask me & Ms. Goh to go out and have our lunch first. Their meeting is still on. By the time he left, I still haven't get a good look at him yet. And he didn't even treat me, his new staff, lunch. Damn.

P/S: Btw, treating me lunch will get good testimonial comments from me. So, you'll know what to do. *winkz* ;-)

First Day of My Official Temporary Work

Today is my first day at work.

Yes, I am working... well, only for this break, MMU's longest break ever.
I have worked before, if you consider working for my university as a kind of "job" you had in mind. What did i actually contribute (/do)? I was one of the orientation committee for the May '03/04 intake. We were paid only mere RM10/day which we worked for 9 days. A total of RM90 in my pocket. But that job is damn tiring. Not worth my Rm10 sweat everyday.
There are some hometown friends of mine who didn't believe that i'm working back here in BM, might be because I usually don't work during my uni break. That's when they used to find me, kaki window shopping kononnya aku nih. Sorry to dissappoint you dear SweeIm, Corina, AiLin, SherBeth, YitShee, and others too many of you to mention. This break, i can't accompany you guys for window shopping anymore. I gotta earn some bucks~

My boss, Julie, our branch manager, is a very helpful lady, and so is my colluege, Goh. Only the 3 of us are in the Sales & Marketing department in the BM branch; while AhKeat, another colluege, is the only 1 who's from the Project department here.Altogether, there's only 4 of us, despite the big bundle of work to be done. Sigh...

By the way, just to cheer things up, the nasi lemak sold downstairs near to my office gives me the pleasure of having teatime.

Me MOM's Bday

1st May = Labour Day = My Mom's Birthday.

My grandmother really laboured my mom 48 years ago. Hahaha...
*looks around* Ok, not very faarnee...

Dad took all of us over to Penang Island for a luncheon to treat my mom for her special day because he has to attend a meeting that evening. By the way, she did forgive him as we all know it's an important meeting. We wanted to go to Evergreen Laurel's at first, then Gurney Hotel, but both of them only serve dinner. So, instead of going to a hotel to have our lunch, we have to settle at a restaurant. Dad called up his friends for any recomendations and we ended up at a chinese restaurants called Lakeview or something... but I'm sure there's a 'view' word. Quite an enjoyable meal, except for the long wait for food. The restaurant was on full house as some families are celebrating a week earlier's Mother's Day.

Later at night, I brought back a tiramisu cake i ordered from Secret Recipe a few days earlier and called up my godmother and my godsisters and my godnieces-nephews to join us in the mini-ladies-only Bday party.

Overall, I think my mom had a great time looking at the way she laughs when she gets her hands on her presents... and the glowing look she gave my dad when he came back from his meeting. Hahaha...

Ah Mi,
HAPPY 48TH BIRTHDAY & WE ALL LOVE YOU!!!

from your loving 3 daughters... and husband.

Out of Emerald Park~

Hey people, I'm moving out of Emerald Park.
No more staying in that lousy hostel, though it's most parent's best choice.

Pros
1. Faster connection.
2. TV
3. Fridge.
4. Private bathroom.
5. Stove.
6. Having to cook LEGALLY without those hostel wardens bursting in when you least expect it.
7. No more people hovering over me.
8. No more people look through their windows whenever i accidentally scream.
9. Oh, and i can scream after 12 midnight.
10. No more security guards peering at me whenever i come back at 4am.

Cons
1. No more hogging on the phone for 2 hrs plus.
2. No more easy access to food whenever raining.
3. No more Southern Fried Chicken whenever i want to.

I think that's all I can think of at the moment. Anyone who has any more to contribute, please do so. You're welcome to add in more points. =)

P/S: I wanna thank TianHao for helping me to move my belongings to my new house. Thanx, mate =)

Genting = Roller Coasters + Casinos (+ Safari Club)

-18th April 2005-
Buckled up and went straight to Genting Highlands to scream all my lungs out. I just can't wait to get my butt on those exciting roller coasters. The first time i'm going to Genting with my friends. I've been to Genting alot of times before but it was usually with my family and it's not much fun compared to going with friends. I mean, I don't want to complain much, but parents?! They're such a spoilsport. Like once I get excited about a particular roller coaster, they'll go
  • "It looks so high. Do you think it's safe enough?" or
  • "I hope they don't get alot of accidents here" (CHOI~!!!) or
  • "Better don't. You'll get headaches from all that twirling and rolling" or
  • "Don't come complaining to me about wanting to throw up".
Such a wet blanket, don't you agree with me?

Anyway, our journey started at 7.30am from Emerald Park, but took off at 8.05am by taxi. Blame it on the spoilt old bus Wira. Met CheeHaw with his gf & another friend of his when we were waiting for the bus. Reached Melaka Sentral just in time at 8.20am for our 8.30am Transnasional bus to PuduRaya, KL. On the spot, we bought a 11.30am bus to reach Genting at 1pm. When we arrived at Genting, we walked straight to the First World's reception coolly. Oh did i mentioned that we didn't book our rooms yet at that time? There's a couple in our gang that we thought they're going to book rooms for us since they are the ones being high-and-mighty about the whole thing ni the first place. And guess what, they only dropped the bomb whilke we were waiting for the bus in EP. I was like, stunned for a minute and was going to shout "Damn both of you! Why didn't you tell us earlier?! We might have book it ourselves, you both dim-squited-octopus-head-with-a-brain-at-the-size-of-a-pea!!!" How I wish i'd say that. Ha. Ha.
But.. we're lucky (me & my roomates); they weren't =)
We've got a room from an uncle who had booked a room early for their kids, but they didn't come at the last minute. So, he sold us the room at RM60! Cheap, right? And our "friend" there got their deal at RM150 per room. Double our price. Hah! *satisfied smile*
After we've refreshed ourselves, we went around Genting Times Square to have our dinner. Then took a long walk and have some snap shots around Genting. I was so tempted to go into Safari, a local club, but i have to drop the idea since i was not wearing the right clothes. I mean, we're in Genting. And, man, it's freezing outside especially when the fog comes around.Since we cannot go to Safari, me and KF went into the casino. I'm turning 21 this year, so I AM ENTERING LEGALLY into the casino *high 5* Honestly, a casino is not a fun place to be in as i've imagined it to be. I don't even understand those games they were playing there except the jackpot slots. It might be because I don't gamble. And i don't bet either. I really don't. Don't believe me? I swear to God. I admit I'm much of a risk-averse person. Also, it might be because my dad says gambling is bad. So, I don't gamble. Gosh, I'm such a fillial daughter. Oh, by the way, the smallest bet you can put on is RM10. "Cheap", huh? ... and... the jackpot slots don't have slots. They're touch screens. Seems like M'sia has their very own high-tech Las Vegas. Okay, I still wanna go clubbin in Safari *pouting lips*

-19th April 2005-
Had a nice sleep, woke up at 9.30am, and found ourselves in Genting Outdoor Theme Park at 11.00am. Met my coursemates MeiLing, HuiSing, and SookChian on our way out to the Theme Park. Actually, we've met not only my friends, some are my friend's friend, Wincy's sis & friends. Guess what? I've even bump into my future hsemate there. Such a small small world it is. Played ALL the super-freaking-cool roller coasters available in Genting, including the newest Flying Coaster. It was like, TOTALLY AWESOME~!!! I wanted to ride on the flying coaster again, but the price is killing me, RM10 per ride which only lasts lesser than 3 minutes! Now you count yourself how much Genting is earning from that ride alone.
Since it's only a 2 day/1 night trip, we took the 3.00pm bus back to KL and a 5.00pm but back to Melaka Sentral. Goodbye Genting. *waves*
