Out of Emerald Park~

Hey people, I'm moving out of Emerald Park.
No more staying in that lousy hostel, though it's most parent's best choice.

Pros
1. Faster connection.
2. TV
3. Fridge.
4. Private bathroom.
5. Stove.
6. Having to cook LEGALLY without those hostel wardens bursting in when you least expect it.
7. No more people hovering over me.
8. No more people look through their windows whenever i accidentally scream.
9. Oh, and i can scream after 12 midnight.
10. No more security guards peering at me whenever i come back at 4am.

Cons
1. No more hogging on the phone for 2 hrs plus.
2. No more easy access to food whenever raining.
3. No more Southern Fried Chicken whenever i want to.

I think that's all I can think of at the moment. Anyone who has any more to contribute, please do so. You're welcome to add in more points. =)

P/S: I wanna thank TianHao for helping me to move my belongings to my new house. Thanx, mate =)

Genting = Roller Coasters + Casinos (+ Safari Club)

-18th April 2005-
Buckled up and went straight to Genting Highlands to scream all my lungs out. I just can't wait to get my butt on those exciting roller coasters. The first time i'm going to Genting with my friends. I've been to Genting alot of times before but it was usually with my family and it's not much fun compared to going with friends. I mean, I don't want to complain much, but parents?! They're such a spoilsport. Like once I get excited about a particular roller coaster, they'll go
  • "It looks so high. Do you think it's safe enough?" or
  • "I hope they don't get alot of accidents here" (CHOI~!!!) or
  • "Better don't. You'll get headaches from all that twirling and rolling" or
  • "Don't come complaining to me about wanting to throw up".
Such a wet blanket, don't you agree with me?

Anyway, our journey started at 7.30am from Emerald Park, but took off at 8.05am by taxi. Blame it on the spoilt old bus Wira. Met CheeHaw with his gf & another friend of his when we were waiting for the bus. Reached Melaka Sentral just in time at 8.20am for our 8.30am Transnasional bus to PuduRaya, KL. On the spot, we bought a 11.30am bus to reach Genting at 1pm. When we arrived at Genting, we walked straight to the First World's reception coolly. Oh did i mentioned that we didn't book our rooms yet at that time? There's a couple in our gang that we thought they're going to book rooms for us since they are the ones being high-and-mighty about the whole thing ni the first place. And guess what, they only dropped the bomb whilke we were waiting for the bus in EP. I was like, stunned for a minute and was going to shout "Damn both of you! Why didn't you tell us earlier?! We might have book it ourselves, you both dim-squited-octopus-head-with-a-brain-at-the-size-of-a-pea!!!" How I wish i'd say that. Ha. Ha.
But.. we're lucky (me & my roomates); they weren't =)
We've got a room from an uncle who had booked a room early for their kids, but they didn't come at the last minute. So, he sold us the room at RM60! Cheap, right? And our "friend" there got their deal at RM150 per room. Double our price. Hah! *satisfied smile*
After we've refreshed ourselves, we went around Genting Times Square to have our dinner. Then took a long walk and have some snap shots around Genting. I was so tempted to go into Safari, a local club, but i have to drop the idea since i was not wearing the right clothes. I mean, we're in Genting. And, man, it's freezing outside especially when the fog comes around.Since we cannot go to Safari, me and KF went into the casino. I'm turning 21 this year, so I AM ENTERING LEGALLY into the casino *high 5* Honestly, a casino is not a fun place to be in as i've imagined it to be. I don't even understand those games they were playing there except the jackpot slots. It might be because I don't gamble. And i don't bet either. I really don't. Don't believe me? I swear to God. I admit I'm much of a risk-averse person. Also, it might be because my dad says gambling is bad. So, I don't gamble. Gosh, I'm such a fillial daughter. Oh, by the way, the smallest bet you can put on is RM10. "Cheap", huh? ... and... the jackpot slots don't have slots. They're touch screens. Seems like M'sia has their very own high-tech Las Vegas. Okay, I still wanna go clubbin in Safari *pouting lips*

-19th April 2005-
Had a nice sleep, woke up at 9.30am, and found ourselves in Genting Outdoor Theme Park at 11.00am. Met my coursemates MeiLing, HuiSing, and SookChian on our way out to the Theme Park. Actually, we've met not only my friends, some are my friend's friend, Wincy's sis & friends. Guess what? I've even bump into my future hsemate there. Such a small small world it is. Played ALL the super-freaking-cool roller coasters available in Genting, including the newest Flying Coaster. It was like, TOTALLY AWESOME~!!! I wanted to ride on the flying coaster again, but the price is killing me, RM10 per ride which only lasts lesser than 3 minutes! Now you count yourself how much Genting is earning from that ride alone.
Since it's only a 2 day/1 night trip, we took the 3.00pm bus back to KL and a 5.00pm but back to Melaka Sentral. Goodbye Genting. *waves*

The 4400

Finally, I FOUND IT~!!!
After days of searching it from the internet, I've finally found those soundtracks used for short TV series 'The 4400' - season1. Those of you who had Astro might have heard about this new TV series before.

The 4400
I remember seeing the 1st episode whereby all those so-called alien kidnappings occurred. Then years later, there's a huge asteroid heading straight to earth. This has caused some certain panic as the asteroid did not hit earth, but it actually slowed down, and floated itself on a lake. (This is so extraordianary.) Mysteriously, bright white lights suddenly emerged within the asteroid. It was so bright that nobody could stand it and all of them have to close their eyes. Then, a big group of 4400 humans appeared out of the blue. (Now, this is the mystery & confusion.). There's another part which i love where alot of countries are firing missiles into the air, aiming at the big asteroid, because they are afraid that an asteroid this big would shatter the earth into pieces. Try to imagine a round bright moon, with fireworks below the moon as if they were heading right up. This is exactly how the whole thingy look liked. Just use a simple imagination. Nice isn't it? Except that the moon represents the asteroid while the fireworks represent the missiles fired by other countries. Obviously, it didn't work and the asteroid still came & floated on the lake.
Big-bird-brainers can watch the video on this link. =P

...when missiles are aimed at the asteroid...

...the asteroid glowed with white light and floated on the lake...

...4400 humans appeared out of nowhere just as the asteroid exploded/vanished...

... another pics of the 4400...

I'm not going to tell the whole story. I don't want to be a movie-spoiler. =p
But then again i only watched 3 out of 6 episodes, as by that time, i have to go back to campus for a new trimester. *sob sob* ...tissue please...

Another great thing of the series is the soundtrack of this part sung by Ivy called 'Worry About You'. It so beautifully fits the whole part of the 1st episode. And another song called 'A Place in Time' sung by Amanda Abizaid is also not bad. Both of the lyrics are available at this link.

*More pics will be added tml after editing =) ^.^edited^.^

There are still alot more to write but at this moment, i'll juz finished off here.. i'm too blur to continue. Sleep needed. G'nitez.

Concoction 2

My Law textbook on my right,
oh, Heaven, please give me some light;
Dictionary, on my left,
looking very daff;
Coffee, on my top left corner,
highlighters, on my top right corner;
is the place they are always there,
day by day after;
left hand, holding a chocolate chip bread,
directing the motion to my mouth;
right hand, resting on the mouse,
and my eyes on the monitor screen,
screaming 'ouch!'

Been in this position for like 1 hour already.
Now, who says i'm studious??!!

**Jut jui kong wa si tak chek kia?? Pien lang eh... Ai tiok pak arr??!!**

This is just an urged to post something in hokkien, an inspiration from HokkienLang. I really salute this fella for holding up a blog posted in full hokkien dialect.
**HokkienLang, salute salute.**
It's something i've never thought of, maybe because of the difficulties in typing hokkien according to the pronounciation. Additionally, although there alot hokkien-ers in Malaysia, all of our hokkien slangs differ. For instance, there's the Baba Hokkien/northern Hokkien (which covers Perlis, Kedah, & Penang); southern hokkien (covers Malacca, Johor, & Singapore), Kelantan hokkien, & Borneo hokkien (Sabah & S'wak). And so, reading HokkienLang's blog, might need a little higher level of your hokkien efficiency =p
Anyway, i was and still am, reading some funny blogs fowarded by my fellow unimates.
Shesh.. law, oh law.
Never mind about that, I'll worry later, teeheehee~!
(remember the dim-witted philosophy, "play first, suffer later"?)

Back to my studies. Err.. blogs, first??

April Fool's

10 minutes before 12midnight and i still can't resist to play a joke on someone. I spent the whole day studying in the library and i nearly lost my mood to trick and to be tricked. Portionedly blamed, are myself. I'm running out of time to study my Research subject and luckily JeenWei dropped by at the library during my "night-shift" to tell me some itsy-bitsy stuff on the topic. He gave me a few so-called introductions on the chapters, like what should i know in this chapter and that. Thanx ya fren, i appreciate it!!! Honestly, he's scaring me... cuz i haven't touch on the book at all. Sigh... yes, JeenWei, i agree with you, I've been wasting my time these few weeks back and I blame myself. Thanx again for the remindation just now =)

5 minutes before midnight. I went into RuShan's room. I was... 'bo kam guan' (that's hokkien, how to translate that phrase in english?), err.. unsatisfied?? Let's say 'unsatisfied'. (People, please correct me, ok?) I was "unsatisfied" with myself for not completing a simple task of D-day, which is FooLinG someone on April Fool's Day. So, i look around in her room, scurring my brain, trying to find something to scare her while having a nice little chat with her and Christina. Additionally, hehehe... she's already in a blur-mode which will in time, turn into sleep-mode. She chased us out of her room, and i took the chance. Told her before she sleeps, she better wipe off that lizard's shit on her bed, yucks~! She looked around every inches and corner of her bed, then asked me where... ?
"AprrrrrriiL FooooL larr, daaaarrLiing. Good Nitezzz..."

Yeah, it was lame. A lame april fool's joke. But what do i care?! At least i get to play around people and still get myself on safe hands for not falling into any joker-tricks before the opportunity ends. =D
Anyway, people... HappY April FooL's Day~!!!
