Genting = Roller Coasters + Casinos (+ Safari Club)

-18th April 2005-
Buckled up and went straight to Genting Highlands to scream all my lungs out. I just can't wait to get my butt on those exciting roller coasters. The first time i'm going to Genting with my friends. I've been to Genting alot of times before but it was usually with my family and it's not much fun compared to going with friends. I mean, I don't want to complain much, but parents?! They're such a spoilsport. Like once I get excited about a particular roller coaster, they'll go
  • "It looks so high. Do you think it's safe enough?" or
  • "I hope they don't get alot of accidents here" (CHOI~!!!) or
  • "Better don't. You'll get headaches from all that twirling and rolling" or
  • "Don't come complaining to me about wanting to throw up".
Such a wet blanket, don't you agree with me?

Anyway, our journey started at 7.30am from Emerald Park, but took off at 8.05am by taxi. Blame it on the spoilt old bus Wira. Met CheeHaw with his gf & another friend of his when we were waiting for the bus. Reached Melaka Sentral just in time at 8.20am for our 8.30am Transnasional bus to PuduRaya, KL. On the spot, we bought a 11.30am bus to reach Genting at 1pm. When we arrived at Genting, we walked straight to the First World's reception coolly. Oh did i mentioned that we didn't book our rooms yet at that time? There's a couple in our gang that we thought they're going to book rooms for us since they are the ones being high-and-mighty about the whole thing ni the first place. And guess what, they only dropped the bomb whilke we were waiting for the bus in EP. I was like, stunned for a minute and was going to shout "Damn both of you! Why didn't you tell us earlier?! We might have book it ourselves, you both dim-squited-octopus-head-with-a-brain-at-the-size-of-a-pea!!!" How I wish i'd say that. Ha. Ha.
But.. we're lucky (me & my roomates); they weren't =)
We've got a room from an uncle who had booked a room early for their kids, but they didn't come at the last minute. So, he sold us the room at RM60! Cheap, right? And our "friend" there got their deal at RM150 per room. Double our price. Hah! *satisfied smile*
After we've refreshed ourselves, we went around Genting Times Square to have our dinner. Then took a long walk and have some snap shots around Genting. I was so tempted to go into Safari, a local club, but i have to drop the idea since i was not wearing the right clothes. I mean, we're in Genting. And, man, it's freezing outside especially when the fog comes around.Since we cannot go to Safari, me and KF went into the casino. I'm turning 21 this year, so I AM ENTERING LEGALLY into the casino *high 5* Honestly, a casino is not a fun place to be in as i've imagined it to be. I don't even understand those games they were playing there except the jackpot slots. It might be because I don't gamble. And i don't bet either. I really don't. Don't believe me? I swear to God. I admit I'm much of a risk-averse person. Also, it might be because my dad says gambling is bad. So, I don't gamble. Gosh, I'm such a fillial daughter. Oh, by the way, the smallest bet you can put on is RM10. "Cheap", huh? ... and... the jackpot slots don't have slots. They're touch screens. Seems like M'sia has their very own high-tech Las Vegas. Okay, I still wanna go clubbin in Safari *pouting lips*

-19th April 2005-
Had a nice sleep, woke up at 9.30am, and found ourselves in Genting Outdoor Theme Park at 11.00am. Met my coursemates MeiLing, HuiSing, and SookChian on our way out to the Theme Park. Actually, we've met not only my friends, some are my friend's friend, Wincy's sis & friends. Guess what? I've even bump into my future hsemate there. Such a small small world it is. Played ALL the super-freaking-cool roller coasters available in Genting, including the newest Flying Coaster. It was like, TOTALLY AWESOME~!!! I wanted to ride on the flying coaster again, but the price is killing me, RM10 per ride which only lasts lesser than 3 minutes! Now you count yourself how much Genting is earning from that ride alone.
Since it's only a 2 day/1 night trip, we took the 3.00pm bus back to KL and a 5.00pm but back to Melaka Sentral. Goodbye Genting. *waves*

The 4400

Finally, I FOUND IT~!!!
After days of searching it from the internet, I've finally found those soundtracks used for short TV series 'The 4400' - season1. Those of you who had Astro might have heard about this new TV series before.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

The 4400
I remember seeing the 1st episode whereby all those so-called alien kidnappings occurred. Then years later, there's a huge asteroid heading straight to earth. This has caused some certain panic as the asteroid did not hit earth, but it actually slowed down, and floated itself on a lake. (This is so extraordianary.) Mysteriously, bright white lights suddenly emerged within the asteroid. It was so bright that nobody could stand it and all of them have to close their eyes. Then, a big group of 4400 humans appeared out of the blue. (Now, this is the mystery & confusion.). There's another part which i love where alot of countries are firing missiles into the air, aiming at the big asteroid, because they are afraid that an asteroid this big would shatter the earth into pieces. Try to imagine a round bright moon, with fireworks below the moon as if they were heading right up. This is exactly how the whole thingy look liked. Just use a simple imagination. Nice isn't it? Except that the moon represents the asteroid while the fireworks represent the missiles fired by other countries. Obviously, it didn't work and the asteroid still came & floated on the lake.
Big-bird-brainers can watch the video on this link. =P

this is that lake i'm talking about during the day....

...when missiles are aimed at the asteroid...

...the asteroid glowed with white light and floated on the lake...

...4400 humans appeared out of nowhere just as the asteroid exploded/vanished...

... another pics of the 4400...

I'm not going to tell the whole story. I don't want to be a movie-spoiler. =p
But then again i only watched 3 out of 6 episodes, as by that time, i have to go back to campus for a new trimester. *sob sob* ...tissue please...

Another great thing of the series is the soundtrack of this part sung by Ivy called 'Worry About You'. It so beautifully fits the whole part of the 1st episode. And another song called 'A Place in Time' sung by Amanda Abizaid is also not bad. Both of the lyrics are available at this link.

*More pics will be added tml after editing =) ^.^edited^.^

There are still alot more to write but at this moment, i'll juz finished off here.. i'm too blur to continue. Sleep needed. G'nitez.

Buat Baik Dibalas Baik, Buat Jahat Ditolak Markah.

Wanted to sleep; but yet, wanted to share a short part of my conversation. So, gonna do it in point form. Simple. K.I.S.S.

Went mamak wif my roomie (DF) & KimFei (KF). 3 ppl in RMR.
Me: Limau panas too hot.
DF: Limau panas too sweet.
Me: If order ais kosong got charge wan ar?
KF: Got gua.. either 10c or 20c.
ME: Aiyor.. when we pay time, dun mention ais kosong, they won't know rite... hehehe... *giggles evilly*
DF & KF starred at me. They sighed. Then...
KF: U still got exam.
DF: Huh?? *puzzled*
KF: Dun cheat... Buat baik dibalas baik; buat jahat ditolak markah!
Me & DF: ***JAW DROPPED***

(P/S: If anyone of u wanna cheat any mamak stalls, better do it when u dun hv exams. Btw, 'heaven got eyes'. Sigh...) I'll list down the cheatable mamak stalls in Bkt Beruang when i hv the time. Sleepy now. G'nitezzz world....

Concoction 2

My Law textbook on my right,
oh, Heaven, please give me some light;
Dictionary, on my left,
looking very daff;
Coffee, on my top left corner,
highlighters, on my top right corner;
is the place they are always there,
day by day after;
left hand, holding a chocolate chip bread,
directing the motion to my mouth;
right hand, resting on the mouse,
and my eyes on the monitor screen,
screaming 'ouch!'

Been in this position for like 1 hour already.
Now, who says i'm studious??!!

**Jut jui kong wa si tak chek kia?? Pien lang eh... Ai tiok pak arr??!!**

This is just an urged to post something in hokkien, an inspiration from HokkienLang. I really salute this fella for holding up a blog posted in full hokkien dialect.
**HokkienLang, salute salute.**
It's something i've never thought of, maybe because of the difficulties in typing hokkien according to the pronounciation. Additionally, although there alot hokkien-ers in Malaysia, all of our hokkien slangs differ. For instance, there's the Baba Hokkien/northern Hokkien (which covers Perlis, Kedah, & Penang); southern hokkien (covers Malacca, Johor, & Singapore), Kelantan hokkien, & Borneo hokkien (Sabah & S'wak). And so, reading HokkienLang's blog, might need a little higher level of your hokkien efficiency =p
Anyway, i was and still am, reading some funny blogs fowarded by my fellow unimates.
Shesh.. law, oh law.
Never mind about that, I'll worry later, teeheehee~!
(remember the dim-witted philosophy, "play first, suffer later"?)

Back to my studies. Err.. blogs, first??

~*~enjoy the sweetness of growing up~*~

April Fool's

10 minutes before 12midnight and i still can't resist to play a joke on someone. I spent the whole day studying in the library and i nearly lost my mood to trick and to be tricked. Portionedly blamed, are myself. I'm running out of time to study my Research subject and luckily JeenWei dropped by at the library during my "night-shift" to tell me some itsy-bitsy stuff on the topic. He gave me a few so-called introductions on the chapters, like what should i know in this chapter and that. Thanx ya fren, i appreciate it!!! Honestly, he's scaring me... cuz i haven't touch on the book at all. Sigh... yes, JeenWei, i agree with you, I've been wasting my time these few weeks back and I blame myself. Thanx again for the remindation just now =)

5 minutes before midnight. I went into RuShan's room. I was... 'bo kam guan' (that's hokkien, how to translate that phrase in english?), err.. unsatisfied?? Let's say 'unsatisfied'. (People, please correct me, ok?) I was "unsatisfied" with myself for not completing a simple task of D-day, which is FooLinG someone on April Fool's Day. So, i look around in her room, scurring my brain, trying to find something to scare her while having a nice little chat with her and Christina. Additionally, hehehe... she's already in a blur-mode which will in time, turn into sleep-mode. She chased us out of her room, and i took the chance. Told her before she sleeps, she better wipe off that lizard's shit on her bed, yucks~! She looked around every inches and corner of her bed, then asked me where... ?
"AprrrrrriiL FooooL larr, daaaarrLiing. Good Nitezzz..."

Yeah, it was lame. A lame april fool's joke. But what do i care?! At least i get to play around people and still get myself on safe hands for not falling into any joker-tricks before the opportunity ends. =D
Anyway, people... HappY April FooL's Day~!!!

Another Earthquake... Another Tremour

~*~Headache, man... shesh, why everything so blur.. better sit down first~*~

Junkies (Twisties), checked; Plain water, checked; Pillows, checked; Blanket, checked; XiaoPan, checked; Seoul Raiders in cd-rom, checked.

I moved my monitor facing my bed, set myself comfortably among my pillows and blankets to reduce my headache, having my plain water bottle beside me just in case, opened my packet of Twisties, then clicked [play] then [full screen].
After only 2 minutes of the movie, somebody sent me a message through YM. I was like, shit, i forgot to disconnect my Yahoo Messanger. Nak kacau aku tengok movie kot... Never mind, i ignored it. The 3rd minute came, and this fella keep buzzing my YM non-stop. I got irritated, paused my movie, and un-full-screenized my movie. The buzzer was my cousin.

sephirothtan : call back penang
sephirothtan : earth quake
icymint_gal : huh?? real anot??
icymint_gal : when happened? teruk anot?
sephirothtan : really wan... my mom called me
sephirothtan : not serious la
sephirothtan : but u call back & see loo
icymint_gal : okok
icymint_gal : i'm calling now
*dial dial dial*
icymint_gal : both my parent's phone not working!!!
sephirothtan : ur sis ler?
icymint_gal : calling now
*dial dial dial*
icymint_gal : nbd pick up the phone
sephirothtan : not serious la
sephirothtan : maybe my mama chating with your mama
sephirothtan : i saw forum said the taman u last time stay also got
sephirothtan : don worry la, all said just shake a while saja. those stay beside sea side only need to worry
sephirothtan : ur family slept liao ho?
icymint_gal : finally, i reached my dad's hp adee
icymint_gal : my parents are ok
icymint_gal : yeah... they're sleeping like a log. hahaha...
icymint_gal : how's ur parents? ok boh??
sephirothtan : then, din felt the earth quake a?
sephirothtan : my house there ok
icymint_gal : no wor.. they slept like pig. din feel anything at all.
sephirothtan : aunty lay (my youngest aunt staying in the island) there scary abit
sephirothtan : but they ok also la

I was so glad to hear that they are all fine, especially my youngest aunty staying on the 13th floor in the apartment, despite my own family who's sleeping like a heavy log and doesn't know anything about the quake until i called them up to ask them whether are they ok.
Later on, i received alot of fowarded links from YM on the earthquake and Yuki YMed me to ask if i felt the tremour. Then she sent me this link on the earthquakes deteced in the eastern Indonesia. Then another link came to me on 'Magnitude 8.2 - NORTHERN SUMATRA, INDONESIA'. I surfed on The Star/latest and found alot of news on the tremour too.

After afew minutes later, Yuki YMed me again asking me what do i think on this earthquake? Could there be another tsunami? I do not know what to think. No comment, i told her. There might be, there might not. I don't dare to think too much. It's sad to imagine those people to lose their home once more after the Dec. 26th Tsunami. But there is a possibility. We'll see about that again roughly after 5 hours subsequent to the quake. In the meantime, I am going to bed, keeping my fingers crossed and pray that everything will be fine.

It's a Bug's Life

Bug 1: Hey, look at that girl... sitting alone on the chair. Let's give her a surprise.
Bug 2: Where? Where?
Bug 1: Stop spinning your filthy wings and look in front of you.
Bug 2: I can't stop. I can't stop. *spinning*spinning*spinning* Do i have a tail on my back? Hey, help me have a look! Do i have a tail on my back? *spinning*spinning*
Bug 3: Stop it! You're not a stupid dog. For goodness sake, you're a bug!

Bug 3: Oh yeah~ Let's.
Bug 2: Oh guys, don't. Look at that poor girl. She's studying. Look at those thick books in front of her. International Economics, Accounting, Managerial Finance, Law, Cleo(??!!). Fuiyoh~ It's going to squash her brains out.
Bug 3: It'll squash ur body flat first before she can use it on her brains!
Bug 2: *GULP~*
Bug 1: Let's plan a strategy. You (Bug 2), fly from the right; you (Bug 3), fly from the left. *whisper whisper whisper*
Bug 3: How about you? From which way are going to attack???

Bug 1 & 3: YOU DON'T HAVE A TAIL!!!
Bug 3: Stupid bug. He doesn't know his wings got tangled with the ends of the curtain.

Bug 3: Can i write a will first or something??
Bug 1: You don't even have a wife. No more excuses. You're going in. Period.
Bug 3: Sigh... (whispers) goodbye world..... tsk... tsk...

Concoction 1

It's been more than a week since I've post something here. And I'm not going to use the same lame excuses for this post.
1) Assignments/Discussions/etc.;
2) Nothing exciting happened;
3) Midterm exams;
4) Quizzes;
5) and finally, TAT DAMN SNAIL-LIKED CONNECTION!!!.
It happened to be one of those awful days when the 4mbps line was crammed into 2mbps divided into 3 big blocks of buildings and the Emerald Park management claimed that it was the TMnet's fault and they have nothing to do with it. Heck as if we, the residents, believed them~ Must I stress on more? Sigh..
At times the line is so slow as if it is not moving at all. I referred to my Local Area Connection Status and those packet received & sent was like.. 99 & 105, after "connected" for like 10 minutes!
I can't have any of my Instant Messangers on (cuz MSN kept disconnecting, YM & ICQ totally can't connect), can't surf to any URLs, I can't get into MMU buletin board, I can't get into MMLS to download my notes, I can't post anything on my blog, and most importanly, I CAN'T EVEN SEND MY ASSIGNMENT TO MY FRENS! And one more thing, IT IS A BORE!
But then again, textbooks are piling up on my table. Files, notes, memos, and draft papers covered every inch of my table. And so are the dust!
In a couple of weeks time, I'm going to face a war. War of Examination, to be exact.
Have i started studying? What do u think? I'm all blank inside my head. I admit i have a numb skull. I'm stubborn, I'm lazy, and I'm stupid. WHy? Cuz my numb skull are too dumb to let all moralized advice and trained ethics to go into my brain. *fling out one of the draft papers*
I've told myself to change too many times but I still hold on to one same dim-witted philosophy, 'play first, suffer later'. This is not good. This is totally not good. Like yesterday night, I went bowling after my BFN quiz, came back, continue studying my BEI subject. The result:- I panda-eyed all the way to the exam room. Luckily, i can do more than half of the questions; and the rest... try to copy lor...
Anyway, I hope that all the questions that i've attempted will be correct.
*ah-hem, i'm just being optimistic ;-) *

Confessions of a Botak Head

Me & KimFei went to accompany one friend of ours for supper. He has another friend waiting together with him. Meaning there's the 4 of us in a table.
Me: Hi all.

Fren 1: Hahaha... Don't worry. He's still a nice guy. (hand hitting on Fren2's chest)
Fren 2: Hehehe... nothing. Panas mah...
KimFei: *reading sms, looks up at fren2* What happened to you??!! "Sat luin" arr?? *looks back at h/p again, type type type*
Me: Since when u go and cut botak??
Fren 2: This morning.
Fren 1: Hahaha.... Should have look at both of your face!! Damn funny.
Me & KimFei: *stared hard at fren 1* Shut UP!!!
Kim Fei: Why lar u want to go botak? Got hair nice wat...
Fren 2: Panas ma.. Really wan lar... Nowadays the weather is so hot. Kenot tahan lah...
Me: So, how's the feeling of being botak?
Fren 2: Still getting used to it.
Me: For how long have u been botak?
Fren 2: Since this morning. Went to cut it at 10.30am.
Fren 1: Wah... botak head aso got people wanna interview wan ar?
Me: Eh, u shaddup lar.. u jealous u din have our attention izzit?
KimFei: Yalar, u jealous izzit? *type type type sms*
Fren 1: Hehehehe.....
Me: So, how do u plan to face your frens in campus on Monday?
Fren 2: Erm... dunno. Wear a cap maybe... Must wear something lar... Just now har.. tat sun shine on my head, damn hot man.... stinging. See got sunburn on my head or not... see see see *turns his head around*
KimFei: Duh~!
Fren 2: Now cooler leh... compare to got hair tat time...
Me: Juz now mandi how? Sure very fast wan.. don't need to wash hair.
Fren 2: Not used to it. Usually use the towel to dry hair, now no hair to dry anymore.
Fren 1: Your towel got stick to your head or not?
KimFei: Huh? Howcome can still stick? Botak adee wor... suppose to be smooth.
Fren 1: See lah.. u girls... dunno anything about botak head. The towel will stick to the hair bcuz of the small little new-grown bristle hair will "hook" the towel. Thus, the towel will stick, not slip.
Me: Aiyor... How we know wor... We never cut botak before aso... u guys did ma...
Fren 1: Fren2's one is better than mine last time. I lagi teruk. *turn to me* Last time u still remember me being botak?
Me: How to forget?? The most 'chi cha' botak guy in class with superb malay conversation with additional of the Kelantanese' slang.
Fren 1: Hahaha... yalor. That time, i lagi teruk. Botak & no eyebrow.
3 of us: Huh?? No eyebrows??!!! Weird. Look like an alien.
Fren 1: Aiyor... last time i have to wan lar... i went to become a monk for a while leh...
Me: Become a monk must have no eyebrows wan ar?? Weird leh....
KimFei: Yalah... so weird. See adee sure lari.
Fren 2: Gerli~!

Preparations for War of Examinations

It's been a long time since i've post anything here. Reasons are:-
1) Assignments/Discussions/etc.;
2) Nothing exciting happened;
3) Boring but stressful week.

I went to Jaya Jusco with KimFei today for some grocery shopping. (*Ah-hem, ALOT of grocery shoppings to do), and came back with 3 big plastic bags full. The amount of my grocery seems to reflect war. Yea, rite.. *eyes rolling*... War with exams - though it's still a couple of weeks away. 3 packs of Maggi, 1 Jacob's biscuit tin, 2 instant porridge, 2 types of buscuits, 1 big box of KoKoKrunch, 10 small packs of Double Decker junkies. 1 tin of junkie with sotong flavour, 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner, 1 hair mask, etc. etc.~"saving for the rainy days " lor...

I wanted to buy some books to read, as u guys know, PTPTN had already disburse our loan. So up to Popular i went. There's nothing interesting there, maybe those books on sale are not my type. But there's a particular book which caught my attention. It's about Face Readings by Peter So, a famous palmister. The book is to teach normal people like us how to read people's troubles just by looking at the features of their face. I flip over the book to see whether is the book tempting enough for me to purchase it. Though the author did illustrate the facial features by drawn pictures, but i still don't understand it. The features are drawn clearly in the book to illustrate the differences, but when u look at the actual face, you wouldn't know which is which unless the person has a strong figure. Trust me, i tried to read KimFei's face according to the book but failed. To the left, i saw another expensive but attractive book, 'Empress Wu' by Lillian Too, a famous local feng shui artist, picked up the book, look at the price, and put it back. On the shelves, I saw a series of 'Shopaholic' books, enough to get me tempted, but my budget kept me at bay.

I saw a pair of Vinci high heels which i've been aiming for like half a year on the sales rack. This time, this shoe is on offer, 50% off~!!!! The nett price is RM 25.94. Damn cheap man!!
Picked the pink pair off the rack to try. Though it's nice... but.. still not as nice as i imagined it would be after putting it on. It only compliment the toe and the heel part but not the middle. The middle part of my feet is too bare, looks very empty.. So, back to the offering rack it went.

Why Smart People Stays Single?

Reasons why smart people stays single:

1. Single means you have the time togrow and bethe person you want to be.
2. Single gives you space to grow. It is harder to grow when you are too close to someone.
3. Single means learning to live by yourself.
4. Single means freedom.
5. Single means learning not to need a man/woman to make your life meaningful.
6. Single is realizing that being marriedis not necessarily better.
7. Single means that there could be something wonderful around the corner and you can take advantage of it.
8. Single means you are free to love again.
9. Single means you have more time to care for other people.
10. So if ur are single u can consider to stay single and treasure it. :P haha...
Shave your head and become a monk/nun instead. =p

Harajuku Girls

Have you guys listened to Gwen Stefani's latest single yet? It's called 'Rich Girl'. The tempo is quite nice, a little mixed style. Anyway, since the beat is very catchy, i went to search for the lyrics from azlyrics.com. There's a part where they mentioned about Harajuku girls.

If I was rich girl
See, I'd have all the money in the world, if I was a wealthy girl
No man could test me, impress me, my cash flow would never ever end
Cause I'd have all the money in the world, if I was a wealthy girl
I'd get me four Harajuku girls to
Inspire me and they'd come to my rescue
I'd dress them wicked, I'd give them names
Love, Angel, Music, Baby
Hurry up and come and save me
I wondered what does Gwen meant by Harajuku girls? What's so special about Harajuku? What is Harajuku? Well, making it simple and understandable, Harajuku is a popular shopping place in Japan to get the most fashionable & unique styles, and not surprisingly, most of the fashionable Japanese kids' favourite hang out. These kids are dressed in a very creative & stunning ways where most girls here would exclaimed 'oh-i-would-rather-kill-myself-if-i-were-to-wear-that' kind of fashion. There's alot of tourist snap shotting pictures of those Harajuku girls. Here's some pics that i've done my "research" on:-
Some are pretty, some are not. Some are outrageous, some are daring. Some are hmm... is there any other word to describe these Harajuku girls?

Lucky Star Shines on Chap Goh Meh... and on ME!

One more thing about Malacca, it's not THAT happenning compared to Penang or KL (no offense to my Malaccan friends out there). But I'm still not used to NOT hearing firecrackers bombarding everywhere during this time of the day, Chap Goh Meh or the fifteenth day of the lunar calender.

I did have a splendid surprise from the hawker aunty opposite SilverCity. Me and two of my, housemates do not want to go to pasar malam today (wednesday). Every Monday & Wednesday, there will always be a pasar malam (or a night market in english) in Bukit Beruang. So, we planned to go to SilverCity to have our dinner. On our way there, we have to pass those stalls, suddenly the 'cute' aunty suddenlly called out to us, "Want to eat? Come, come and eat. Have your dinner here." And we were like, huh?? We are surprised actually, speechless. I think she saw our confusion. Then she told us that she have this so called free-of-charge-mini-buffet every year on the 15th day of CNY. Then we went, "ooh...." (still speechless). She continued, "Come and eat. Come and join us. Look on the bright side, you can even save on your dinner expenses". She smiled. We went, "oohh.. hahaha... nolah, Aunty, don't say like tat." The cute aunty kept insisting us, saying that we have fate with her and that's how we ended up at her place. Then she straight away handed us 3 plates and straight away words came out of my mouth, "FOR REAL??!!" This got the whole 'audience' laughed. Those words was not being processed in my mind before i splurted it out and then only i realized that we actually had an audience full of about 3 tables... looking, listening, and laughing at our cuteness/courtesy-ness. Ha.Ha. I felt like hiding my face.. somewhere.. somewhere behind my housemates. But my housemates are not tall enough! If i hide behind them, it'll be like a giraffe hiding behind a cow's back. *pls don't punch me, dear housemates. have mercy on me... though it's partly true... bleks =p* Eventually, we took the plate, ate there. Her food is quite nice as she served fried bihun, fried mee, chicken leg herb soup, fried wantan, homemade meat balls, stewed/braised couliflower with carrots and black button mushrooms, and curry chicken ad her main course; drinks are only orange juice; and some groundnuts and some sweet soft jellies for dessert. It's only a simple homemade buffet, so we cannot expect too much lar.... Hahaha... Frankly, it's delicious, finger licking good. Especially those meatballs, i love them the most. Everytime the cute aunty passes our table, she'll say, "Eat. Eat more, ya. Don't be shy. There's plenty more food."

We ate and we sat for a moment, chewing those jellies and listening at the cute aunty's jigles and jagles whenever she calls out to more of her friends. "Come lah, come lah and eat. Bring an empty stomach." Turns to another person, "Ask your friend to come along lah." Turns to a youngster, "Aiyoyo, don't pretend you didn't hear me calling lah. I was practically shouting already (she IS shouting). Call XiaoHei to come." Turns to us, "The three of eat some more ok? You're all not rushing for time, right? Eat more. Eat more." We just nod our head, with mouth still full of jellies and groundnuts. We saw her dragging another students/victims. They too, were like us in the beginning, couldn't believe their ears. One of them asked whether is it for real? Me and my housemates grinned widely, with some half munched nuts stuck between our teeths. They ARE EXACTLY like us in the beginning.

We thank both the cute aunty & uncle and left the cute aunty's stall when we've finished.
Stomach's full. Famished. Satisfied.
And today, i DID NOT NEED to spend a single cent on dinner.
Call me calculative, but today, luck's on me~! o:-)
Happy Chap Goh Meh~!!!!!
(i still want more angpows.... =( still not enough for me...)

*P/S: Btw, luck's on my hsemates too! (since they are with me. hehehe... =D )
*Take Note:
-Cute Aunty's dialogs have been changed to English. Good English. You wouldn't want to see me writing in mandarin mixed with hokkien here. Or you'll be seeing question marks above your head. (****???***)-

Constantine a.k.a. Keanu Reeves *smugs smugs*

I went to see Constantine the day before yesterday. I planned AND PREFER to see it during Chinese New Year in my hometown, but i just do not have the time. Why do i say 'prefer'? I think you can ask just anybody in Malacca. I'll list down ALL of it when i have the time, ok.

The movie was cool. Though i've heard some of my hsemates said that they don't understand the story, thus boring. But to me, it's still, cool. Ya know.. Keanu Reeves. He's one of my favourite actor of all time. I fell-in-love with Keanu Reeves when he starred in 'Speed' (the bus chasing movie); then the 'Matrix' trilogy; and now 'Constantine'. By the way, he look damn thin in 'The Little Buddha'. Heard that he had to be on a strict diet to star in that movie, just to make him become so-damn-thin untill you can see his rib bones. Anyway, that is not the main point. The main point is what is Constantine about. Basically, it's about this guy, John Constantine, who's an exorcist, tried to buy his way into heaven by helping people to perform exorcisms. He doesn't want to go to hell because he had sent alot alot of satans, devils, etc. into hell. I mean, let's put ourselves in his shoes, you wouldn't want to be stuck in a prison where most of the prisoners there were sent by you. That's exactly how he feels and the reason he doesn't want to go to hell. But Lucifer is waiting excitedly for his forecoming. The plot is about Mammon, son of Lucifer, wants to come to our world using the exact same way as how Jesus had come, with the help of a halfbreed angel called Gabriel. These devils made used of a pair of twins with high psychic powers, Isabelle & Angela. Isabelle was influenced by the devils to commit suicide and Angela is determined to prove it right. So there she goes in search for a person named Constantine. And the adventure started. In the end, they found out that Mammon planned to come to our world by using Angela to give birth to him, just like the way Virgin Mary gave birth to Jesus. Constantine managed to stop him by only a few second, by sacrificing himself. Since he had sacrificed himself, he was accepted into heaven, but Lucifer still wants him in hell. After the struggles, Constantine was to remain on earth where we need him most, while he gives himself another chance to realize the plans that God has made for him. Actually this story will be more interesting if you know a thing or two on the bible.

A few funny parts were in the movie, especially when the audience thought that he was going to kiss Angela. Twice. The director was good in giving the viewers a little of their own imagination & suspence. I can't keep on the story going anymore. Blurred vision adee.. but here are some of the wallpapers & pics to share with you guys. =)

And here are some wallpapers that i got from their official website. Just right click on your selected picture & choose 'set as desktop background'. Voila~! There's Constantine on your desktop.

Going to bed now.. and dream all about Keanu~~~~~~ Ahhh... *all smiles*

Valentine's...

Valentine's Day... pah~!
I celebrated it with something special.... and somewhere special....
Imagine the venue with dimly litted orange light, that fits contrastly with a little of the pendaflour lights. Ceilings, decorated with cute semicircle type of lights parenthetically with railings of long aluminium railings as a decoration. An elegant staircase leading from the ground floor till the 2nd floor. A huge panel of glass which can act as a full-length mirror. It was so quite... only with a few buzzes of voices from the background. The table is full of things, the chair is comfortable. Well, under the table, I took of my shoes, exercising my feet abit. I looked in front of me.. smiling shyly at my friend... He smiled back. Ahh.. i tried to relax. Then, i looked down at the table again. And i sigh....

How can i finish all 6 chapters in just 3 nights??!!! Those books on the table had already made my brain all frizzed up. I tried to relax but i still can't exactly do that. My friend from the opposite table saw me taking off my shoes to exercise my feet under the table, which i felt like i have to dig a hole to hide myself out of shyness! The glass panels reflected the books on the shelves which later i have to drill in to find some books on my Research subject. The busybody security guard keeps walking up & down the staircase to see whether anybody is talking on the handphone, preparing to jump on them anytime. Those voices... some were previously a girly conversation which was hushed by other students to keep them quiet.

Get a reality check: I am "romantically dating" with my books in the library.

Anyway, these are some pics of those valentine flowers i seen in one of those fowarded emails which i would like to share it out.

And the best for the last, this is my favourite one. Pinks tulips with TEDDY~!!!

By the way, Happy Belated Valentine's Day!!!

I Know What You Did this CNY 2005 (*part 2)

Day 6 - 1st Day of Chinese New Year : Ang Pow mali-mali
"GONG XI FA CHAI~!!!"
As usual, those words... makes me.. feel.. older...
Got up early in the morning, and straightaway got scoldings from my Dad. My highlighted hair. Sigh... not gonna elaborate on it anymore.
Went to relatives' house to 'pai nee'. It's our first time going 'pai nee' on the first day of CNY because all those years, my parents always have Open House from noon till late at night. But not this year. This year's Open House only starts at 6pm in the evening till late at night, with buffet dinner.
Things got busy around 5pm when the caterer came and arrange those tables and chairs. Sorry folks, this year no roti jala. But the laksa & nasi tomato is quite delicious.
Relatives came about 9pm and my sisters went to put some firecrackers with their friends from the island and a few younger cousins of mine. They fired a 8 feet long, red firecrackers. Geez, it was so loud that my eardrums are bombarded.

Day 7 - 2nd Day of CNY : Lagi-lagi Ang Pow
Again, got up early to go to my Grandmother's house. All my uncles & aunties will be there. It'll be so pack like a Family Reunion. Alot of the came all the way from Johor, Klang, KL, etc. which i lost count. Younger cousins running here and there. Teenage cousins hiding in one corner with PCs, telling their joke-of-the-year, soft frinks on one hand, ang pows on the other, etc. Aunties busy preparing delicacies & mee rebus, halal and non-halal. Uncles, trying to make an immitation of God-of-Prosperity, but got run down by small little "mobsters" demanding for more angpows. Elders... well, either they're lost in conversation or lost in the idiot box, with 'hehe & haha's came out once in a while.

Day 8 - 3rd Day of CNY : AhKor's Banglo
Pulled AiLin out to accompany me to the island to visit my AhKor in Sungai Ara. I'm still not that familiar with some of the roads especially the Bayan Lepas area, so AiLin will be my tour guide a.k.a. 'orang tunjuk jalan'.
Met AhKor and Irene in Super Tanker, took lunch, went to his house. Situated in Taman Bayan, a new housing scheme, i believe, his house/banglo is very spacious, to consider only 4 person living in it. He showed us around his new house and gosh, his family really knows the definition of 'luxurious' (i'm quoting from AiLin), a house with big personal bathroom for each room, and a sauna & jacuzzi on the 2nd floor with an "attic". His room is cool, i mean, cool colours makes it look cool, in contrast with the hot weather outside before we came into his house. Closets are closed, beds are made, but aih.. his laptop & other 'ka-chang' are splatted on the floor! *smugs* =D

Day 9 - 4th Day of CNY : Pegi sana, pegi sini
List of the events. Went to SweeIm's house at 9.30am, CheaYing's house at 10.45am, WayNah's house at 12pm, YitShee's house at 1pm and meet Corina there, had lunch at 2.00pm, and reached my house at 2.30pm. Planned to go to AiLin's house next with Corina, then to the cinema to watch Constantine with SweeIm, but my eldest cousin is coming all the way from Kuala Selangor to visit. Sigh... i really wanna watch Keanu Reeves~

Day 10 - 5th Day of CNY : tak mau balik lagi, mau lagi angpow =(
Went back to Malacca... in a hot weather... like 35 degrees celcius... stuck in traffic jam... sweats pouring from head to toe... arrrhhhh~!!!!!

I STILL WANT MORE ANGPOWS~!!!!!!!

I STILL WANT MORE HOLIDAYS~!!!!!!

I Know What You Did this CNY 2005 (*part 1)

I'm back in Malacca. A little exhausted. All for all. Still in a good shape.. except for a little skin squeezing itself out of my jeans. That's the proof of going back to hometown and settle myself in a very comfy place where it ALWAYS WELCOME me back. Oh, and the food itself, for all that matters, u know.

Day 1 - Back to hometown :
Quickly rushed back to EP after class. AhKor is gonna fetch me back. Yahoo~!!!
*No more stucking with 24 other people to get on the hot, stuffy bus.*
Reached Penang at about 4pm. Too bad my parents are still working & my sisters are not at home at that time. Just so the time, i asked AhKor to drop me at Secret Recipe in AutoCity, where i pampered myself in a delicious, soft chocolate chese cake called 'Chocolate Indulgence'. It goes perfectly with the Sparkling Juice in the so-damn-hot weather. Ahhhh... quenched my thirst.

Day 2 - Back in hometown :
My younger sister woke me up, telling me that my youngest sister vomited. And my younger sister do not know what food could she eat since she's just vomited and at that time we haven't taken our breakfst yet. Confusing? OK, it's like this.. A woke me up to tell me that B just vomited. A wants to prepare breakfast but do not know what food is suitable for B.
After lunch, Dad dragged me to my old house to take back some of my Mom's kitchen ware which she left behind while packing. And also brought back more 'kitchen rubbish' which only my Mom finds it useable.

Day 3 - To the market :
After all the naggings from my mother, i finally woke up. My ears couldn't stand the fuzzing & buzzing for what the heck of commotion was about. My Mom ordered me to go to the market to get some food for breakfast, buy some 'siu mai' & crabsmeat, and on the way i can shop for new year's clothes. I haven't buy any new clothes yet! Basically, it's a last-minute shopping. Luckily i finally found like 2 new tops. Kinda depressing by the look of the quantity, but what more can i say, it's a last-minute shopping. In fact, i have actually found a few nice clothes... but no more my size. I'm not petite but yet not fat, which makes the matter worse. All those averagely-normal size clothes are sold out like hot cakes. Again, it's a last-minute shopping.

Day 4 - Trips to the toilet :
My Dad told me to go to the Telekom in the morning but i had diarrhoe. It's not food poisoning, it's the so-called slimming cereal i took. The function of the slimming-cereal is, of course OBVIOUSLY BY READING IT, to make me become slimmer. I was hungry the night before so i ate the cereal, which supposingly make u feel full, not like slimming-teas which only makes u still feel empty in the stomach. The taste of that slimming cereal was really AWFUL! By morning, i was rushing in & out of the toilet for 4 times. And oh, parenthetically after all the toilet-running exercise, i didn't even loose a gram! *curse curse curse*
So the Telekom trip was postponed till 3.30pm. My youngest sister debated that Telekom was in Tmn. Ciku, and without giving a second thought, straight to Tmn. Ciku i went. Ended up there just to find that my sis told me the wrong place. She mistook the TNB office for Telekom! Clearly as she had guessed, she got her new-year-scoldings from me. Eventually we did went to the real Telekom building, stood there as grandly as any pre-war conctrete building would be. And a consultation of appling a StreamyX with a young, good looking malay guy in the office really makes my day after all.

Day 5 - Reunion Dinner :
It's true where Mom's are always the best. I just joked with my Mom the other day that everytime we have our reunion dinner, we never have 'lou sang' before. This year, good ol' Mom bought all the ingredients for our very own homemade 'lou sang' which consists of carrots, young mangoes, papayas, purple cabbages, etc. All fruits of different colours. The taste is as good as it looks =)
Took a nap before the long night of praying at midnight accompanied by the sounds of fireworks.

Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder~

I heard this phrase on the radio when i'm daydreaming a.k.a. studying in the library. Suddenly, it hit me, I'M HOMESICK~!!!!
The absence of my family around me makes my heart grow fonder towards home... especially my new house in Seri Juru, Penang. When i was walking out for dinner (as usual) but this time, in my head, i kept on humming one of those CNY songs, "Long Me Jing Shen, Long Ma Jing Shen, Long Ma(x3) Jing Shen...." I was soooooo excited!
Then the thought of having my misterm invaded my mind, just like a pail of cold water fully-filled with ice splashed ALL OVER ME, calling me to go back to earth. Back to the horrifying exams~ Brrr.....
Sigh... what a thought.

Midterm Exams are Trying to SLAY My Head

I guess i haven't been sleeping much lately.. cuz i'm alwiz tired.. might be the consequences of midterm exams. Midterms are trying to slay my head inches by inches away. I don't how much further i can dodge unless i study harder. Sigh... somebody.. pleeeease give me some encouragement** RuShan shockingly told me i had "heavy eyebags" when she hit my head to wake me up when she saw me napping on the library table. Terkejut aku tau~!!! Aku seorang-seorang, tiba-tiba muncul si bedebah mai pukul aku punye kepala~!

I was in the library for so long that i lost track of time. I planned to go back at 3pm, take a very short nap, before heading to the Bukit Beruang badminton hall to help out my friend on the Smash Open. Eventually, i went back at 4.45pm, a much later time than i expected.

The Smash Master thingy was suppose to start at 6pm but CheeHaw was late. He told us that he'll come to fetch us at 5.30pm but me & JingPei waited at SFC for like.. 15minutes... but all thanx to Florence as she's there to accompany us with her crappings.. as always.. hehehe... We went there and did very very odd jobs which is out of my expectations. Saw those professionals played with experties and we go "awww... ahh... oohh..... woah.... *clap clap clap*". This was just the preliminary round. There's more to come tomorrow. And finals is on the day after tomorrow.

Reached home at around 10.30pm because after Smash Open, we both girls went to campus to shoot some hoops. Sigh.. long time din play liao... My hands are so rusty. We planned to jog around campus too.. but later on we felt stupid cuz it's already so late at night, and seeing two girls with long hair running around the campus field would be so spooOOOooky...
BOO~!!!

Not in the mood for writing... yet.

I'm so damn tired. Spent this whole week to study for today's midterm exam and i still feel that i did not do any good in the paper. I'm praying hard that i'll pass. I think i'll pass. Whatever. The most important thing is that today's paper is over and i have to start to concentrate on another paper already. Time... goes so fast that sometimes i wish there's more than 24 hours and there's not enough, i'll start cursing around and the most pitiful thing is that my pc is the one that will kena the most~! (pray.. oh pray.. **thank God that i'm NOT cursing people.. hahahaha...**).

Frankly, i'm not in the mood for writing.

Sleepiness is waiting to take over me;
oh my bed looks so comfy;
with my XiaoPan hugging me;
Oh yes, i AM sleepy.

Exercise...Exercise... I think i need a daily dose of it!

It's very tiring this week. Went back to Penang for 3 days to help my parents to move those big heavy furnitures. My parents don't have any sons, so i know that it's my responsibility to act as a son AND a daughter. Anyway, my sisters did help too. They actually help alot before i reach my home. They swept, they mopped, they cleaned, they etc. etc. Luckily they're there to help my parents out. If not, my parents would be panting out of breath.

And talking about out of breath, i had sore arms since Saturday. And it's still soring. Those badminton training are just my first class on Friday and i hope not to have sore arms after training a few more times. It's 1 semester since i've touched my racket. And i didn't go for swimming last break. Sigh.. That's just my laziness... cuz i should have exercised alot more.. but.. aiyo, lazy lar.. hehehe..

Yup. I've enrolled myself in the Badminton Workshop organized by my Uni but that's just to get my old self working. My level of badminton is not from point zero but i still feel that i should learn some of those basic steps to help myself to hit the shuttlecock more confidently, skill-fully, and speedily. I remembered once my dad told me that i alwayz hesitate to hit the shuttlecock, and when i hesitated, the shuttlecock will make its way to land lower, making it more difficult for me to hit back with speed and target. My sisters are far better than me in badminton, partly because they've taken a very serious badminton training during secondary from a professional coach. I've indirectly learned a few bits and pieces from them but i still find it not enough to satisfy myself. And my sisters have better stamina than me. They can run faster without breathing as heavy as me and i'll still be lagging behind them.. panting my breath away. Both of them are good in atheletics like 100m run, long jump, high jump, 'lontar peluru' thingy, u know.. those sports that we're suppose to take during secondary. Basically, they're better than me at sports. Period.

I just came back from the Annual Chinese New Year Extravaganza 8 (CNYE8) held in Emerald Park. Frankly, it was pretty boring because all those performance are all kind of the same as last year. One of my fren, TeikHong, even pointed out to me that it's still the same person who performed; same performance, same person. SIEN. The only part i enjoyed was the lion dance team from Segamat, Johor. The black & red lion stunned the spectators when it jumped from a high pole to another. And the food... aww... the food... TOTALLY, OBVIOUSLY, NOT WORTH IT!! And TOTALLY TASTED AWFUL! What can i say, i'm a pure Penangite.
La~La~La~~~ *singing***

My new house waiting for me in Sri Juru, BM, Penang. hehe... i juz can't wait * starting to get impatient ;-) *

It's already 5.00am and i'm still packing. BFN textbooks, financial calculators, scientific calculators, tutorials... Shesh~ i'm suppose to be sleeping by now. But blame me, blame me, blame myself. I should have packed earlier but... laziness took over me (*STOP GaspiNG! It's not something unusual =p ) . I've spent the whole day doing practically nothing, unless if you consider chatting, onlining & blasting music is something. *Guilty guilty* =(

My Dad phoned me last Monday night to tell me to go back for the house-moving ceremony. Yeap, i am moving. From Taman Sri Rambai to Taman Sri Juru. From a swampy area which will always flood whenever there's a heavy rain to a light-industry area which the traffic will always be jammed especially lunch & after office hours AND is quite on the highland.

I'm going back to Penang today... as in a later time, Will be catching the 8.30am Bas Wira to Melaka Sentral and from there, i'll take the domestic 24seats VIP bus home. Onthe ticket the bus is suppose to leave at 10am, but it's better to be early than late. So, i've done the math, and i estimated that i'll be reaching Pg at around 5 something pm. Another long day & a long journey back to Penang. Or rather back to BM! Hahaha... Gonna drop off at the Juru toll house, and my Dad will fetch me from there.. Gosh, remind me to give my Dad a miss call when i reach Ipoh!

Feeling a little bit hungry now.. damn! How am i suppose to sleep with a juz-filled-up stomach??!! Sigh... i think i've gotta live with today, or if not i don't think i'll be getting my precious beauty sleep anymore.

Be back on Tuesday!
zzZZZzzzZZZzzzzz......

Finally... done on the chatterbox..

I've been trying to settle those so-called 'bad-id' thingy on my Chatterbox for quite some time, and i hate HTML stuff. I've taken a short course on HTML long time ago.. like when i was in form 4, but.. aih.. that time was useless!! I've forgotten e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. I think i should write it in caps, but.. never mind that. Luckily at that time, the school sponsored the whole bunch of us F.O.C. And obviously i didn't do a good job out of that seeing the outcome of the present. But now, after 'mata sepek-ing' at those numourous alphabets, I finally did it! DIY. Yahoo to myself!
*sigh...* super "happy"...

Asian Tsunami Alert!!!

Recent news over the BBC, CNN, NewsAsia flooded everyone's woresome. Damn tsunami hit Malaysia too. Very rare indeed. I used to think that Malaysia is such a safe place, in terms of no volcanoes, no twisters, no alien kidnappings. It all changes one Sunday morning.

At 9.25am, my Dad called suddenly to ask if i am OK. I was totally sleeping like a log. Then he asked whether did i felt the tremour. I was like, what tremour?? I was having such a beautiful dream, and BOOM, tremour??!! Later my Dad told me that there was a jolt of earthquake. And i was like, oh ok. so wat? I know i sounded non-chalant but in truth, i was still in a blur case. And also my Dad loves to joke, and i thought he was joking at that time too.

I hung up & try to continue my sleep. But i still find that something is so so wrong somewhere. My Dad wouldn't call in the early morn just to joke about things like that. So i drag myself up, switch on my pc. And WHAM~! It really is an earthquake! At first it measured at 8.5 on the Richter Scale, then another report said it was 9.0! It's the most disasterous in 40years time.
It was an underwater earthquake, only 10miles below the oceanfloor near Acheh, Indonesia, which caused a large tsunami to hit Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Indonesia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, India and as far as Maldives. I called my Dad again to report on my findings. Eventually, my Mom had already switch on the Astro watching CNN Asia back at home. No wonder they know the news faster than me. Yea, yea, advantages of Astro.

I asked my Mom about her youngest sister. My youngest aunt lives in a high-rise apartment in Dato'Keramat, i think that's what the place is called. ="> *shy shy lah... forgotten the name**
Found out that she's safe, she ran out of the building at once when the tremour came. Lesson learned: Never stay in a high-rise building. My house's cool, don't worry guys. I'm living on the mainland, so i guess that's what saves my house from the tsunamis. Thanx again guys, for your concern. You guys are the greatest~! MUUUUAXX~~!!!

All sorts of donations are being carried out, both in MMU and private organisations outside, all donated to the victims of the tsunami. So, everybody, please do your part and help the helpless. And surely your kindnes will be repaid in the future.

Christmas O' Christmas...

This year's Christmas and last year's Christmas has no difference. The similarities are simply, plainly bored. Yeah, BORED. Not that Christmas is boring, it's fun. But it does depend on who you're spending Christmas with. For example, it would be romantic if a couple celebrates together; or it would be fun if one whole bunch friends are celebrating together; but it would be lonely and also boring if u celebrate alone.

Oh yea, i AM hinting that i NEARLY celebrate Christmas alone. All my housemates are either balik kampung or went out somewhere, most probably to the Portuguese Settlement. There's a Christmas Countdown held there every year. But lucky me, i managed to call up my ex-housemates, Yuki & Jing Yi. We eventually went only to Jaya Jusco (it's better than staying in Emerald Park or Bukit Beruang when others are having all the fun ;-) Right?). Had some Nando's Chicken. Yuki & Jing brought one of their friend, Jason. Another Perak-ian. It's like i've been having a sudden rush of alot of Perak-ian friends. And I am glad. =)

Anyway, i've been warned that this Jason is such a calculative person. I mean calculative as in 'kiam siap'. If i've not been told that he's a Perak-ian, I would have thought that he's a Penang-ite. You know lah, other than delicious food, Penang is also famous for their 'kiam siap' guys, stingy stingy. Jason even counted the menu to see which set of meals are more worth to his money... in FRONT OF THE WAITRESS~! my, my, my...
A good side of him is that he is very sporting & a good joker.

Went around window shopping after dinner in JJ. The Popular bookstore in M'cca are lack of nice & cheap books to read. OK, i'm actually on budget, but at that time i felt like wanting to read something interesting. But the cheapest & interesting book i found was priced at least RM15++. It's not worth it since the thickness is not there, around 1cm thick, less than 100 pages. Back in Penang, i can get i RM5-8 book from Popular with around 2-2.5cm of thickness, which is around 300-400pages. I put the book back on the shelves, where it was before as if it was untouched.
Shesh, now i find that i AM the MORE calculative one~

I did some very very very last minute christmas shopping. They are for Yuki & Jing Yi.

Went out of Popular... empty-handed. So sad. Went to the carpark before 10.30pm... empty-handed. So so sad. Not satisfied. We walked into JJ, bought some carbonated drinks & ice, went straight to Jing&Yuki's place. Celebrated over there.... with JingYi's new little christmas tree with fake little tiny-weeny presents... while watching anime 'Cooking Master Boy', cantonese version~!

Pathetic? I think not.
I nearly celebrate Christmas all alone. And that's even more pathetic~

MERRY CHRISTMAS~!!!

Dumbells, Dumbells, my very own Dumbells

Back from my 3 weeks break. There's nothing specially memorable for me, except for learing those roads around the Sungai Dua area near USM in the island. Then the usual normal routine i during my break--->> s.w.i.m.m.i.n.g.

My parents fetched me back to Malacca this time. Taking this excuse as a holiday trip for my twin sisters who just finished their SPM this year. I drove all the way down to KL, then to M'cca; where my Dad couldn't get his hands off the stering wheel i drove... and he never get his chance to sleep even though i'm driving.. his eyes are fixed on the road. Now u know why.. hehehe...

Oh yea, guess wat i've got as my birthday present from my parents.... MY OWN PERSONAL SET OF DUMBELLS~!!! It's deep pastel purple in colour and even though it weighs only 3 pounds each, it's enough for my to get my biceps & triceps sore for the whole day. Hmm.. i have such a lousy muscles, i guess...
Well, train train train train more~

Truths On How Halloween Comes Around~

Ever wonder the origins of Halloween? Well, here it is.. after searching on the net.

The word itself, "Halloween," actually has its origins in the Catholic Church. It comes from a contracted corruption of All Hallows Eve. November 1, "All Hollows Day" (or "All Saints Day"), is a Catholic day of observance in honor of saints. But, in the 5th century BC, in Celtic Ireland, summer officially ended on October 31. The holiday was called Samhain (sow-en), the Celtic New year.
One story says that, on that day, the disembodied spirits of all those who had died throughout the preceding year would come back in search of living bodies to possess for the next year. It was believed to be their only hope for the afterlife. The Celts believed all laws of space and time were suspended during this time, allowing the spirit world to intermingle with the living.
Naturally, the still-living did not want to be possessed. So on the night of October 31, villagers would extinguish the fires in their homes, to make them cold and undesirable. They would then dress up in all manner of ghoulish costumes and noisily paraded around the neighborhood, being as destructive as possible in order to frighten away spirits looking for bodies to possess.
Probably a better explanation of why the Celts extinguished their fires was not to discourage spirit possession, but so that all the Celtic tribes could relight their fires from a common source, the Druidic fire that was kept burning in the Middle of Ireland, at Usinach.
Some accounts tell of how the Celts would burn someone at the stake who was thought to have already been possessed, as sort of a lesson to the spirits. Other accounts of Celtic history debunk these stories as myth.
The Romans adopted the Celtic practices as their own. But in the first century AD, Samhain was assimilated into celebrations of some of the other Roman traditions that took place in October, such as their day to honor Pomona, the Roman goddess of fruit and trees. The symbol of Pomona is the apple, which might explain the origin of our modern tradition of bobbing for apples on Halloween.
The thrust of the practices also changed over time to become more ritualized. As belief in spirit possession waned, the practice of dressing up like hobgoblins, ghosts, and witches took on a more ceremonial role.
The custom of Halloween was brought to America in the 1840's by Irish immigrants fleeing their country's potato famine. At that time, the favorite pranks in New England included tipping over outhouses and unhinging fence gates.
The custom of trick-or-treating is thought to have originated not with the Irish Celts, but with a ninth-century European custom called souling. On November 2, All Souls Day, early Christians would walk from village to village begging for "soul cakes," made out of square pieces of bread with currants. The more soul cakes the beggars would receive, the more prayers they would promise to say on behalf of the dead relatives of the donors. At the time, it was believed that the dead remained in limbo for a time after death, and that prayer, even by strangers, could expedite a soul's passage to heaven.
The Jack-o-lantern custom probably comes from Irish folklore. As the tale is told, a man named Jack, who was notorious as a drunkard and trickster, tricked Satan into climbing a tree. Jack then carved an image of a cross in the tree's trunk, trapping the devil up the tree. Jack made a deal with the devil that, if he would never tempt him again, he would promise to let him down the tree.
According to the folk tale, after Jack died, he was denied entrance to Heaven because of his evil ways, but he was also denied access to Hell because he had tricked the devil. Instead, the devil gave him a single ember to light his way through the frigid darkness. The ember was placed inside a hollowed-out turnip to keep it glowing longer.
The Irish used turnips as their "Jack's lanterns" originally. But when the immigrants came to America, they found that pumpkins were far more plentiful than turnips. So the Jack-O-Lantern in America was a hollowed-out pumpkin, lit with an ember.
So, although some cults may have adopted Halloween as their favorite "holiday," the day itself did not grow out of evil practices. It grew out of the rituals of Celts celebrating a new year, and out of Medieval prayer rituals of Europeans. And today, even many churches have Halloween parties or pumpkin carving events for the kids. After all, the day itself is only as evil as one cares to make it.

The Eve of my B*RthDaY

My Birthday... ahhhHHHH... =) *grin grin*
Well, my birthday is actually yesterday and it is the BEST-EST Birthday i've ever celebrated!!!

The night before my birthday, it was, well, BORING. Nobody is at home, except 2 of my housemates but they were out at that moment. It was around 10pm and i was quite sad as all my frens balik kampung. Then AhPua came to my rescue!! He ask me to go out for burger with him (i think he's VERY BORED) but i said burger would do no good; i told him it is my Bday(he didn't know when is my Bday), and he was surprised. He suggested we go somewhere else than just burger. I managed to pull KimFei along before agreeing.

So we ended up in Sampan Bistro. I've always heard people talked about this place but i haven't been here before. An opening eye experience. AhPhua brought another fren with him, introduced as GuoZhong. I always have to think twice before calling out his name, just in case i accidently call him 'ZhongGuo'(China)! Hehehe... The first thing they did upon reaching Sampan is... taking photos with a Ferrari!! *Guys* Sigh... Reminds me of my dad who is also a car enthusiast~

The scenery in Sampan Bistro is.. well, very suitable for couples to 'pak tor' lah.. not really suitable for a bunch of frens like us. It has a scenic view of the sea, with no beach. You can say, at least there's the sound of the ocean crushing the curb/side stones of the bistro. We choosed a side-corner place, good for viewing the whole sea, which i still find Penang beach is still DA BEST~!!

Midnight came and the clock struck 12. The 2 guys put the Smapan Bistro's candle in front of me... and they started singing... --->>
~*~CU Lu SeEA JIT HUA HI~*~
CU Lu SeEA JIT HUA HI
CU MING ZHENG SeEA JIT HUA Hi Hi
CU Lu SeEA JIT HUA Hi....
~*~(Birthday Song - Hock Kian)~*~

%^<<*He rewrote this in my Friendster's testimonial*>>%^

Me and KimFei laugh & laugh because it was so funny.. and very creative of him! By the way, before he wanted to sing the 'song' he did ask us how do we say 'happy' in hokkien. too bad we do not know, so he use 'Cu' as 'happy' in mandarin. I made a wish and blew the so-called candle-in-the-oil, without cake. But i don't mind! Really! Because i had a great time!

And there was another funny thing happen with the flower-aunty. She tought we were double dating couples, cuz we have 2 girls & 2 guys, but in fact were just normal friends celebrating my Bday. She keep insisting the guys to buy her RM10 per rose for me & KimFei! Finally, with much talking & persuading, AhPhua & GuoZhong managed to get her to go away. *Glad Glad* Hahaha...

I had a really have a great time there and not to mention a great laugh until my tears came out.. Laughing & wiping my happy tears away.. and i started thinking, i have alot of wonderful friends around me. And one of them, well, i mean 3 of them are already sitting around me, are some of the examples. I started to see, FRIENDS.. friends are so mportant in my life.. and i wonder what would i do without them..
FRIENDS.... --->> HUGZ, HUGZ, HUGZ
MUUUACKS, MUUUACKS MUUUUACKSS
i LOVE u GUYS~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FINAL NITE of Mid-Autumn Festival

The real day of the long-awaited Zhong Chiu Jie. Another boring day which we do not how to waste with. After dinner, we walked back to EP and we(my housemates^again^, and i) had an idea. Actually it was JiaWen's idea. She suggested that we spend the night watching the stars & moon while eating mooncakes and drinking tea. This gets us excited and we started to plan what we have so that it can be accomodated when we were to really going with the plan.

Luckily for us, we spotted an empty table after dinner & desserts (we had ice for desserts.. hehe...). Coincidently, KimFei and a few of her housemates are only beside the table. We sat down and told them about our plans and ask them to join us. ^The more, The merrier^
They agreed with our plans without much hesitations. So, JiaWen & Christina went up to our unit first to bathe, boil some water for tea, and bring down some extra cups for our 'guests'.

On the other hand, me & my roomate, volunteered to stay downstairs first because other than booking the place, we can entertain our 'guests' too. =) But it was getting drizzling, then more drizzles. U can say that we were very stubborn because we are still staying under the drizzle just to book the table.

After about 15 minutes, JiaWen & Christina FINALLY came down with alot of cute cups (which the cute cups are mostly mine~! ngek.. ngek.. ngek..), BOH tea, hot water flasks, sugar, small spoons, etc. Then it's my turn to go up & get some things which i forgot to tell them to. I came down with yesterday's candles, matches, a few more cups, and a mooncake. We just sat on the drizzled table while eating mooncake & kuaci (JiaWen bought that) while watching the moon. But the moon is always hiding itself behind the clouds. Finally, the Moon came out, and the drizzles stop.

Admiring the moon is not the only thing we did. We gotta have some fun! So i threw the kuaci's shells to KimFei & WinSee. I got them both surprise and they couldn't catch me bcause they do not have kuaci seeds~ =) YAHOO!!! We (the two tables) ran around here & there, throwing each other with kuaci seeds! I got the most people to chase me (because i'm the one who alwiz throw it at them), WinSee got the most people throw kuaci shells at, and the rest...?? They laugh ALOT. i mean, ALOT~!!!

Late at night when KinFei's housemates have gone, we decided to play with candles as we forget to play with KimFei's housemates. But we didn't even get to play it as the morning breeze at that morning was quite strong. Finally, we gave up , clear our stuff & went home ( i mean, to toilet first)hehehehe....

CHeerios~!!!

EVE of Mid-Autumn Festival

On the eve of this year's Mid-Autumn Festival (Zhong Chiu Jie), me, my housemates, and my housemate's friends suddenly plan to take lanterns and go around Bukit Beruang... just for the fun of it. One of my housemates got a few lanterns from the EP's (Emerald Park) warden. I do not know how did she manage to persuade the warden to lend us some, but she did it perfectly.

And off we went to the EP Garden to lit our lanterns. A whole big bunch of 12 person lit the lanterns, holding it on our hands, and we got some supports of "Hahahaha... Zhong Chiu Jie Kuai Le", "Xiao Jie, wo ye yao na dang long", etc., from the EP guys who are stayed facing outside; but we ignored them. Pathetic people. So, set with 12 person, 10 lanterns, 5 boxes of candles, 1 guy (bodyguard), finally we are ready on our way to toy the whole Bukit Beruang.

We started with Taman Bunga Raya and walked by the KUKTM's hostel, Pangsapuri Bunga Raya, previously MMU's off-campus's boy's hostel. Some of those naughty guys even sang a "Happy Birthday" to us on their balconies. Pathetic of them isn't it? Pathetic with a capital 'C'!

We didn't manage to go ROUND Bukit Beruang because one of my housemate was already complaining tired and sleepy. Although we're still in Taman Bunga Raya, we turned back with a heavy heart. Suddenly, a kancil car drives by and the kid inside embarassed us!!! He said, "Hahahaha... Je Yang Da Le Hai Ti Deng Long! Hahahaha..." OOOOoooo.. that grummy little kid!!! I was so annoyed with his comment. I was almost boiling!!! But i reminded myself, That is only a small kid. This small kid still doesn't know the meaning of this special Mid-Autumn Festival. To him, it might be only playing with the lanterns and nothing more.

Even though i do not know how to read Chinese, but i AM GLAD that my parents taught me well about Chinese cultures and i appreciate it.

Thank YOU, AhMi, AhPa!!!

New Police Story. Anyone??

Another boring weekend has resorted me & my roomie to Mahkota Parade.. to watch movie lor.. There is nothing much you can do in MP except to buy a popcorn & a coke, and watch movie. And the movie we watched? It's the New Police Story starring Jacky Chan, Daniel Wu, Nicholas Tse, Charlie Young, Charlene Choi, Wu Bai(well, he only appeared for like 1 minute of the film), etc.

It's another action-packed movie by Jacky Chan ought NOT to be miss! The movie is about a police, Inspector Chan Poh Wing, is plunging his life into despair by slacking off and alchoholism after the death of his teamates. Previously, he was a very successful policeman who solves all crimes without fail. Then came a team of extreme bandits who steal from the bank and like to shoot at any police officers as target practice. They did this not because they needed the money, but just to get the pleasure! These bandits are actually rich kids who were abandoned by their parents' love and their chief is Joe Kwan (Daniel Wu), son of the Northern District's Chief Commissioner of the Hong Kong's Police Department; Fire; Max; Sue; and another guy which i have forgetten his name. All of these kids are from Hong Kong's VVIPs. Ins. Chan's team has already located their hiding place but he was backstabbed by his comrade, his partner, his best friend, Sam. Joe's team was ready to face Jacky's team with preparation.. to play the online X-Game using Wing's men as victims. One by one, Wing's subordinates died, including Wing's going-to-be brother in law, Hong, and he was the only one escaped ALIVE. Then Cheng Xiu Fong (Nicholas Tse), Wing's new partner into the picture. He helped Wing to pick himself up and mend Wing's relationship with his girlfriend, Choi Yee (Charlie Young). Xiu Fong gathered informations about the bad guys with Sa Sa (Charlene Choi) and they both clicked at once. When Wing is half-past done completeing the information, he accidently found out that Xiu Fong is actually impersonating as a cop. He was very angry at first but eventually he let him stay by his side because he had helped Wing alot during his slacking days. Wing was challenged by another jealous comrade to see who will solve the case first. Later, Wing and Xiu Fong were prisoned because alot of public complained about Wing when he was trying to stop a bus from falling into the sea, and Xiu Fong impersonating as a police officer. OK, this is the FUNNIEST part, SaSa came to their rescue by persuading her dad who was taking after Wing & XiuFong's cell. They pretended they had dropped the key. They escaped half way but bumped into Wing's Chief who was going out of his room but the Chief went straight back into his room as if Wing's invisible. They tip-toed into the hall and this time, Wing knocked a big aluminium rubbish bin, causing the bin turn over with a big bang! Everybody in the police station turned to look at Wing & Xiu Fong for 1 minute... then turn back into their work as if they heard nothing, see nothing. In the hallway, Wing met his challenger! Surpringly he too secretly supports Wing to capture those bandits and even offered him his gun as Wing is empty-handed at that time. This time, Wing is definitely prepared. He found out their next target location with the help of SaSa's game maniac buddies to play the X-Game. So the hustle-bustle starts and of course, Wing won. All those bandits are dead and Xiu Fong dissappeared as how he appeared, because he had repaid his long long ago's "debt" which Wing has already forgotten.

In the late evening, both of us, and a few friends of ours went to my roomie's gospel as they have a mid-autumn activity. We had a game of "killer" using deck cards. Everybody gather around ina circle with a piece of deck card on hand and the 4 fellas with the Aces will have to kill other people by clinching their eyes. The ones who are killed will open their cards and put it in front of them. The survivors must find out, by guessing, who is the killer before they are killed. The game ends when the 4 killers are identified.

Night time is the time for yamcha!! Me, my roomie, and my another close friend,KimFei, went to Sri Rama Ram and even called out our long lost friend since Alpha. Justin came out of breath cuz he walked too fast! Poor guy. We talked about the good old times when the 4 of us are in the Chinese Language Society (CLS) especially our beloved Cultural Division which has already dissolved, and our division-mates about how they are doing now too. He still haven't change abit... well, he only change his hairstyle. He still talks fast, and alot, always interrupt me when i'm talking, and always change the topic even though people are still talking about it. Aiyoyo, Justin ahh.. u don't need to rush into things lar. Don't stress yourself out too much. Just relax, man...

Anyway, we chatted until 2am. Then only we are satisfied to let him go home! Hahaha.. we are so mean, buddies! Hehehehe... Reached home, boil water, bathe, watch movie for 30 minutes, geram cuz the CD has something wrong with it, the only switch off the lights to sleep.

Good Nitez...

When FET & FIST gave warnings to FBL... Duh~

First week of trimester = busy.

I really had a "great time" playing with the ICEMS system, adding and dropping my going-to-be perfect timetable, changing tutorial sessions here and there, turning my timetable to be unperfect! I was cheated by the courses offered by the FBL admin, saying that International Business student has 3 electives subjects, but it actually has only 1, which is Training. Training is an elective, i repeat, training is the one and only elective for International Business students. Unless if you do not want to go for training, you might as well take other subjects, which is boring to stay in campus.

Anyway, i did try to add Malaysian Studies on my list of subjects, if not, i am only taking 2 subjects this sem which is quite a waste of time. That is why i keep changing tutorial sessions so that they would not clash. But i still can't take M'sian Studies. Bum bum!

So i went to see FBL's Assistant Manager, Ms. Adilah, to ask for her help as i still see some capacity in the class. But all she can say is, "Sorry, I couldn't help you... i would if i can... but FET had already gave us warning. If out students still did not drop M'sian Studies by this Monday, FET & FIST will auto-drop for them."

What the heck! Did FET think they are the reign of the faculties? Are FIST their comrades? Just because they have the 'technology' word attached to their names (Faculty of Engineering & Technology, and Faculty of Information Science & Technology) does not mean FBL would have to bow down to them! Do not forget that FET & FIST do not have their own class and they have to use FBL's facilities as an alternate. They owe FBL a big time. Think again.

Anyway, Happy Veni, Vidi, Vici to FET.
