Checkout ViVo

Located at Autocity Juru, club-goers should check out ViVo. At first, I thought Vivo was only, you know, Vivo. But I saw the worker's shirt wrote 'Vivo' on top, and 'www.bed.com.my' at the bottom. Both of them are of the same boss. The club stretches from the top of Manhattan Fish Market until Bed, so in the inside it was actually quite big. I'll try to take pics of it the next time I'm there. ;-)

I was in Vivo yesterday night clubbing with SiewTing, Elayna, and some of their friends. First time there since their opening. It was better than I imagined. They have a stage in front of the DJ area, and on the wall there's kinda like a big screen made out of large pieces of LEDs. It was pretty cool, the atmosphere and interior designs and everything. Bartenders were playing with fire from time to time. And the nicest part of it was... I SAW A CUTIE DJ!!! Muahahaha... *Devilish Laughter* *grin grin* *devilish laughter again*

SiewTing was trying to save me from growing mushrooms with cobwebs and spiders... whilst trying to gather supports for her competition there, the 'Sexy Dance' competition. She did well having named the Second Runner-Up and got a free Bacardi Limon for the table.

One of the best pick-up lines I've ever heard (by my own ears) was:
X: Hi, how are you? Been here before?
Z: I'm good, thanks for asking. It's my first time in this club.
X: Me too. Nice club. Not working tomorrow?
Z: If I am, I wouldn't be here now.
X: Hahaha.. True, true. So, what are you working as?
Z: Currently jobless... (pause, listening to the music) You know any vacancies?
X: Yeah, I know. Quite a good one actually. Good benefits too.
Z: Oh, reeeally? What's the job scope?
X: Accompany me for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Benefits are free movies with me, I'll be your driver. Wanna know more?
Z: .........

My Very Own Convocation 2007

Finally, I can say I am 100% graduated!

Sweet's been so "nice" to me. Every night asking "Are you sure you're 100% graduated? Have you settled your accounts with the Finance Department? And how about the Security Department and the Library Department as well?", "Be sure to call them to confirm", "Have you got the RM500 deposit back yet?"
It's annoying! I've told him hundreds of times it's all been settled and yet he kept infuriating me.

And he did his job... booking the hotel rooms.. all messed up!
He got his days wrong. I'm not to go into that cuz it'll only madden me up furiously.
But the case did settled in the end. Lucky him I do not have to throw my fist above his chin.

I reached KL 3 days before my actual convocation day. And Sweet, this time, have been so kind to take leave to accompany me in KL. He even daringly drove to KL just because I needed a car to Cyberjaya so that I can register myself and verify my smartcard. How sweet Sweet is... or maybe he felt guilty?

I met alot of old friends there. My ex-housemates, coursemates, Badminton Club mates, Alpha Group mates, CLS mates, Cyberjaya mates, juniors, etc. When I thought I was the busy one dropping a little chat while waving hi-s & bye-s everywhere, when I turned around I saw Sweet was as busy as me. I poked him in his ribs and teased him whether was it my convocation or his, he just give me a grin and pat my head. At that moment, I wished I could hug him right in front of everybody. But then, we're in public places.. manners matters.

On D-day, I woke up at 4.30am to wash my hair. Heck, a girl needs hours to prepare for any personal big events. I meant events like proms (I'm passed that), convocation, engagement party, the W-day, etc. But that's out of the track. Anyway, Mom practically banged on the bathroom door when I'm still not finish by 5.15am, lecturing how I am going to be late if I still sleep in there. Amazing how Sweet can still sleep with all the commotions from my Mom. Anyway, we reached Cyberjaya at 7am sharp. Not many people arrived yet, considering we're able to park ourselves in a nice spot with minimal walking required. I found Angelina & KimSheng first before going into the Hall with Christina.

When I was up on the stage receiving my e-scroll, I was so afraid. Not of the big crowds, but afraid of accidentally breaking Tun Siti Hasmah's hands. She looked so fragile like an antique chinese porcelain vase where if it breaks, you're gonna get your butt being stumped in jail while singing 'Sweet Escape'. But her sincere voice of saying "Congratulations" to me made me feel like wrapping the antique porcelain with a lot a lot of newspapers and polystyrenes to preserve it in good shape.

Anyhow, after everyone received their e-scrolls we listened to Permata Dunia for the last time in the university. I almost had tears in my eyes, but kept reminding myself not to ruin my make up! When outside the hall, I was practically barged by Sweet, who brought my parents to me and gave me 2 big bouquet of flowers, one with white lilies, another with blue lilies & pinkish red roses. I love the smell of lilies!

Had a little late lunch with those Machi-gang seniors, Sweet's best friends. Then we head back to the hectic KL town for some studio pictures.
Again.

The night ended with an expensive dinner.. it cost about RM600++ per set of ten!
Despite the price, the food was delicious, and everybody enjoyed themselves.

We left KL for Penang the next day. And I am still wondering how the heck did we managed to fit so many things into Dad's car: 7 adults & 5 huge luggage & 4 huge paperbags & 2 big bouquets of flowers & 1 big teddy bear!

Resignation

I think I did not tell this news in my blog yet.. 2 weeks ago... I QUIT!

I resigned my current job, without confirming a second job. Corina said it's daring. AiLin said it's daring too.. and plain stupid! Well, at that time I didn't think much, I just want to get out from that company as fast as I could before I was confirmed. Reasons for being so stupidly courages:-
  • Not enough staff & no assistant - Thus workload was 3 times heavier compared to my colleagues at other outlets.
  • No Over Time - Imagine working 3 times harder and not getting paid on overtime.. Imagine you'll be needed at your workplace for 12.5 hours and not getting the salary you're supposed to for 4 days straight... nice?
  • Not enough allowance & claims - Allowance? Claims? Ptui!!! I've been cheated. I travelled from Queensbay Mall to Gurney Plaza every Monday, not even a single cent claimed. I've counted. Altogether it's more or less RM100/month, which accumulated to RM300 which I can't claim back!
  • Rude clerk from HQ - At first I didn't know she's JUST a clerk since she's so bossy. I thought she's an exec. like me, until my HQ Operations Manager demanded to know why am I following orders from a clerk.
  • A pervert Northern Manager - He labelled other older men ogling at young and pretty girls as D.O.M. (Dirty Old Men) which he does not knows he is included in his own category. And yes, when he speaks to you, he does not look at you in the eye.. his eyes are somewhere below.. on your humps.
  • Stupid unreasonable rules - They wanted you to work, and yet said there must not be too many full shifts. They're already understaff, and yet not taking a newbie. Work 10 days straight without rest. Even work on your own actual Rest Day and only getting paid for the first 4 hours and not the other 4 hours which is "dedicated" to them for free.
  • No holidays on weekends - At most, I can only take 2 days off in the weekends.
  • No holidays in more than 2 days in a stretch - Meaning, no Saturday & Sunday off continuously.
  • No holidays on public holidays - IF I am still working, you can expect me to be at Queensbay Mall this coming Merdeka.
And the nice things of working in a mall:-
  • You get to know which celebrities is coming to the mall first-hand.
  • You get to window-shop everyday.
  • You get to know when the next sales is coming so you can save up.
  • Sometimes get discounts in some outlets when mentioned working in the same mall.
  • Get 10% discounts on Haagen Dazz (but I never tried it yet.)
  • Try to get to know other outlet's staff so that you can get their Staff's Purchase (this is what my staffs always do, but still, I never tried it yet.)
  • You get to see friends shopping in the mall and hid in a corner to call them and say, "I Know What You Did 5 Minutes Ago!" and keep snickering on the phone. Tee hee hee~
Oh ya, I just had my convocation last week. And I don't need to apply for leave!
